The house
Le Muguet is the first gîte you come across when you enter the courtyard of Lavau. A unique location because it offers a wide view, you look out over the sloping landscape with alternating farmers' fields, tree lots and the fruit orchard.
Le Muguet is a wonderfully light and comfortable gîte for 2 or 4 people. The gîte was built in 2012 in the old stables. A new gîte, which more than meets all the requirements of our time, but with retention of authentic details. We give you a short 'tour';
You enter the living room with on your right a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, fridge / freezer, oven, ceramic hob with extractor fan, microwave and of course plenty of pots, pans, kitchen utensils, crockery, glassware and cutlery. The living room has a cosy dining and sitting area with a television with DVD player and radio with CD player.
From the living area you enter a hallway with three doors. Here you will find a spacious bedroom with a double bed of 160 * 200 cm, a separate toilet and a comfortable bathroom. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower of 90 * 120 cm. and a bathroom cabinet with double washbasin. Via the staircase in the living room you reach the second bedroom with two single beds of 90 * 200 cm.
Outside, Le Muguet has no less than two terraces; one is a lovely place to have breakfast and enjoy the morning sun. The other terrace, with adjoining garden, is a few steps lower and offers afternoon and evening sun.
To complete your holiday feeling you will find upon arrival:
* A warm welcome.
* A comfortable garden set with parasol and bbq.
* A made up bed and sufficient bath and kitchen linen.
* A supply of basic necessities: oil, vinegar, herbs, coffee (filter bags), tea, sugar, dishwashing liquid, kitchen roll, hand soap and toilet paper.
* Free wireless internet in the gîte.
* Electric heating which makes Le Muguet a good place to stay in all seasons.

Lavau vacances is a small touristic company situated on a hill just outside Fontaine-Guerin. The beautiful location, the overwhelming view over the valley with the always changing light and the presence of three caves on its own terrain make this a unique location.

We hebben een heerlijke week doorgebracht bij Vries en Anita.
Zeer aan te raden voor reizigers die van rust houden. Prima plek om te fietsen, wandelen en plaatsen als Saumur te bezoeken.
Schitterend uitzicht vanuit de gite en er ontbreekt niets in de gite.

Wine tasting
Besides hiking and biking, wine tasting is something you really must do when on holiday in this region. The wine region between Angers and Saumur is with 20,000 hectares and its 30 Appélations d'Origine Controlée the third AOC region of France. Especially on the south bank of the Loire, a large number of vineyards stretch out, where you can taste their often excellent wines at the many wine farmers. Definitely worth trying is the Crémant de Loire: a sparkling white wine, a refreshing aperitif!

Cycling and swimming
Lavau is situated in the Parc naturel regional Loire-Anjou-Touraine, a large protected nature reserve where landscape management receives a lot of attention. For example, you can follow part of the La Loire à vélo cycle route through the park. La Loire à vélo is a concept in France: 600 kilometres of cycling through the most beautiful areas along the Loire. Part of this famous cycle route runs through the varied landscape of Anjou.
Been active on a hot day and want to cool down? That is perfectly possible in the village. There is a lovely swimming lake where even the little ones can splash around.
Sailing
Then the Loire, the last untamed and unpredictable river in Western Europe... A big river always invites to make trips. You can do this actively by renting a canoe for a trip on the Loire or one of the other rivers in the Anjou region. Or you can hop on a boat in Saint-Mathurin-sur-Loire and be told all about the flora, fauna and fascinating history of the fishing villages along the river.

Laze and enjoy
Don't feel like going out for a day? Then grab a comfortable chair and enjoy your own terrace with the beautiful view and the ever-changing light that colours the trees and crops differently from moment to moment. Give yourself time to listen to the birds and watch "our house sparrow" (buzzard) in his flights. But also for that book you have wanted to read for so long, you will find the time and the quiet here!
Wine and Food
Whether you have been out and about all day or enjoyed the peace and quiet at Lavau, the day will only be complete when you sit down to a delicious three-course dinner that we prepare for our guests several times a week. In our kitchen we use mainly local and seasonal products, with a preference for organic ingredients.
Lavau is blessed with three caves, one of which has long been used as a wine cave. We have continued this tradition and stock a number of wines at ideal temperatures to accompany the meal perfectly.
