Les Ravalières

Les Ravalieres is a rural gite set in a secure, fully fenced and gated property with owners Lel and Jon Miller living nearby on site. Have a family holiday and a fishing holiday at the same time, keep everyone happy 🙂

We offer carp fishing on our private 3 acre lake, with common and mirror carp to 20kg, other species include ghost koi, koi, tench, perch, pike, zander and roach, enquire before booking please. The gite, gardens, jacuzzi and swimming pool are private and for gite guests only. There is secure on site parking for 3-4 cars.

The gite has 2 bedrooms. Each bedroom is equipped with a super-king sized bed and a single bed. If required, it is possible to convert these beds into 3 single beds in each room. All Egyptian cotton bed linen, duvets, pillows and towels are included and the beds will be made for your arrival. All pillows, duvets and mattresses have protectors. Storage space is provided for your clothes. There is also a large fan in each room. Both bedrooms have a view of the lake and skylights in the roof. All windows have external electric blinds to give good blackout and ventilation. Both bedrooms have USB charging points. Upon request we can provide a sturdy travel cot, baby bath, 2 booster seats for the table, 2 stair gates and a changing mat.

Upstairs there is a large bathroom with walk in rain shower, toilet, double sink, illuminated heated mirror and heated towel rail. There is a storage space under the wash basins for toiletries, etc. A hairdryer is included.

On the ground floor there is a separate toilet and a second bathroom with walk in rain shower, washbasin, illuminated heated mirror and heated towel rail. All towels, including spa towels, are included.

Both bathrooms are also equipped with free shower gel and liquid hand soap. We want to reduce the use of plastics and therefore do not offer small individual toiletries. Instead, we buy in bulk and use refillable containers.

On the ground floor there is a modern fully equipped kitchen with a large oak table and chairs. There are two infant booster seats for the dining table, and stair gates top and bottom. USB charging points provided in the kitchen too.

You'll also find an induction hob, an electric oven, a microwave, a dishwasher, a fridge, a toaster, a kettle, a teapot, a filter coffee maker and a cafetiere, as well as a large selection of utensils, cutlery, plates, bowls, cups, glasses, pots and pans and kitchen utensils that will make your stay a home away from home. There is also a selection of condiments, foil, cling film, oven gloves and t-towels. An 8 person raclette and a popcorn maker are available upon request.

In the utility room you will find a washing machine, a clothes airer, an iron and an ironing board, as well as a large fridge-freezer, vacuum cleaner and mop. All cleaning materials are provided for during and after your stay.

The salon is equipped with beautiful leather sofas with adjustable headrests and a TV that allows you to watch the free to air channels in English and French.
Free fibre-optic Wi-Fi is provided throughout the gite and works in the garden too.

Heating is charged separately when needed at €15 per day, cash. With recent electricity price increases, this unfortunately is necessary. There is underfloor heating downstairs and radiators upstairs.

The garden is fully fenced and there is an above ground swimming pool which has several solar mats helping to warm the water when the sun is shining. On the grassed area there are sun loungers and a large table and chairs. The terrace also has a large table and chairs, a parasol, a gas BBQ and the jacuzzi (which is optional and is charged at €60 cash on arrival). There is an in-built chess/draughts board in the terrace with playing pieces provided. Other games provided are giant Jenga, giant Twister, badminton racquets and shuttlecocks, ping pong bats and balls, small children's quoits and boules. We also supply small t-light candles for the terrace. Smoking is only permitted outside.

Dogs are welcome, by prior agreement, provided they are friendly with other dogs and well behaved. Please contact us before booking regarding dogs. They are not allowed on furniture or beds so please bring their bedding with you. Dogs are not to be left unattended at any time. We have 2 dogs here that are friendly, young and lively.
