The house
This farmhouse holiday cottage is located about 100 meters outside the village of Flée. The cottage is reached via a small road. In Flée itself there is a café / restaurant with an 'epicerie' where you can buy bread, sandwich fillings and a newspaper. The farmhouse consists of a cosy French kitchen, bathroom, wc, dining room with fireplace, living room and a sleeping loft. The stable is attached to the house. The total width of the house is 21.30m and the depth is 7.63m. The total area of the site is 1780 m2.
There is a double sofa bed in the living room and in the sleeping loft there is a double bed that is separated by a cupboard and a curtain from two more two beds. The bathroom and wc are separated. The bathroom has a shower and a wash basin and hot water comes from a boiler. The kitchen has a fridge with a 2-burner electric hob. There is also a separate electric oven. Kettle and filter coffee maker are provided.
The house has a very spacious garden with flower and fruit varieties. If you do not just want to read a beautiful book here in silence, but would also like to make your hands dirty? Do not feel inhibited! There is always something to do. There is a lawn mower, scythe, lopping shears, weed shears and garden gloves in the barn. In other words, everything is allowed, nothing is required.
The house can now be heated by two gas heaters, a fireplace in the dining room and a wood stove in the living room.
In front of the house the courtyard is separated by a grape hedge. There is a long table under an overhang with benches to eat. There is also a bbq and a fire pit. To the left of the house it is possible to hang the hammock and there is a trampoline. In the stable are also two bicycles, a table tennis table and a large inflatable children's pool.

This gite is located just outside Flee, a small village in Sartre. It is very quiet and beautiful here. At a distance of 5 km is the town Chateau du Loir with all facilities such as larger supermarkets, Sunday farmer's market, tourist office and several restaurants. Besides that the area has:

There are many excellent restaurants nearby, from Relais to Michelin stars. But also in the village, only a kilometer away, you can get a delicious 'plat du jour' for lunch with friendly service.
The wine routes of the Loire wines are all very close.

Wine routes in the area, visiting castles, brocantes, beautiful walks are possible in the area, swimming in lake at Marcon, enjoying the garden or just sit by the wood stove with a glass of fine wine and a good book.

Further remarks
The Loire is ideal for a holiday or short break. Fantastic castles, beautiful river landscapes, extensive forests, old charming villages, tasty wines and delicious food. And last but not least, masses of country- and forest roads that make it a true cycling and walking paradise. The country side is rolling and woody. Close by is the forêt de Bercé, this is one of the famous old French winter oak forests. It covers 5380 hectares. At about 3 km from Flée is the village of Marçon with a recreational lake, where you can swim, rent a canoe and lie on the beach. There is also a large lawn with playground with a tent where ice creams and a beer / wine can be bought. It is an area where a lot of horse riding is done. In the town of Chateau du Loir (about 6 km) there is a market where you can buy cheap vegetables and cheese from the farmer every Saturday. There are also large supermarkets such as the E Clerc, Aldi and Intermarché. During the entire summer season there are nice markets and village festivals in the villages. The real big city is of course Tours (about 35km) with its large terraces and beautiful shops. Tours is located on the beautiful river Loire. But the city of Le Mans also has a beautiful city centre, which is worthwhile a visit. Along the Loire there are many chateaux where you can taste and buy the most delicious wines.
