The house
The flat (59 m2) has a two-star qualification from Gîtes de France Clévacances. Located on the outskirts of the village of Sainte-Croix-du-Verdon, you will enjoy peace and quiet, views and proximity to the lake. Internet available via Wifi (Orange). The flat is tastefully decorated and can accommodate 4 people. From the spacious balcony (10 m2) next to the kitchen there is a beautiful view over the lake. There is a 140 m2 shaded garden (2 plane trees) with a set of garden furniture. Unique in Sainte Croix! It is located at 7 minutes walk from the lake of Sainte Croix. The kitchen has a high level of equipment with induction hob, microwave and oven. Parking in a gated car park. Everything on hand for a wonderful holiday, even the supermarket just outside the village is within walking distance. (Watch the video, for the location of the house and the garden)

Sainte-Croix-du-Verdon is a characteristic village. It is an old crusader fortress, with panoramic views of the clear blue artificial freshwater lake Lac-de-Sainte-Croix. By using the lake for electricity generation and drinking water, tourism is limited. Motorboats are not allowed on the lake. Buildings along the shores are avoided.

Fantastische locatie bij het mooie lac de Sainte Croix. Het appartement is prima voor vier personen. Ontbijten kan ook op het buitenterrasje. Verhuurder is relaxed en communiceert prima. Huisje is keurig van binnen en schattig van buiten. Het. meer is op loopafstand (je moet wel kunnen klimmen) en ook de supermarkt. Er zijn bovendien een paar gezellige restaurantjes. Mooie omgeving.

Wij hebben een heerlijke tijd gehad in het beneden appartement. Het appartement heeft alles wat je je maar kan wensen als je opzoek bent naar een fijne vakantie in de Provence. Het uitzicht vanaf het terras is spectaculair en het appartement zelf was schoon en goed onderhouden, In de omgeving is van alles te doen, maar in Sainte Croix du Verdon zelf is er ook meer dan genoeg te ondernemen. Zeker een aanrader en wij komen graag weer terug.

De afgelopen 3 jaar zijn we te gast geweest in dit heerlijke huis op deze mooie plek. Ook deze zomer was het weer genieten. Het goed ingerichte huis met alles wat je nodig hebt in je vakantie, was als vanouds helemaal prima. Inmiddels kennen een aantal mensen in het dorp onze blonde koppen en lange lichamen. De korte Franse babbel in de supermarkt, heel dichtbij het huis, voelde als thuiskomen. We hebben weer genoten van het mountainbiken, wandelen, zwemmen, windsurfen, de marktjes, de wijnen, het eten en elkaar. Ook na 3 jaar zijn het huis en de plek super!
Restaurants, food & wine
Moustiers Sainte-Marie has many restaurants and is for some even a culinary place of pilgrimage (star restaurant 'La Bastide de Moustiers' ) Sainte-Croix-du-Verdon has three restaurants, two of which have nice terraces. Nearby Montignac is known for its truffle culture and has two simple restaurants where you can enjoy this 'black gold' of the Provence.
Activities
At the Sainte Croix Lake, you will find space and peace and enjoy swimming, surfing, stand-up paddling, sailing, canoeing, pedalos and (mountain) biking. In the vicinity you will find the largest European Grand Canyon: the Gorges du Verdon. There, besides water sports and hiking, you can also go mountain climbing, para-gliding and rafting.
In the vicinity you will find Riez (with a lively Provencal market and Roman excavations), Moustiers Sainte-Marie (famous for its faience and restaurants) and Valensole (known for its lavender cultivation and processing). Sainte Croix itself also has three restaurants and several ecological eateries on its waterfront.
Lying in the Parc Regionel du Verdon, you will find the Provencal atmosphere, with more nature, peace and space.
On the other hand, Saint-Tropez and Cannes are only 90-100 km away and you are at the Mediterranean Sea in no time.
