The house
Spacious VILLA with lovely views, not too far from COTIGNAC
Villa La Farigoulette is a very spacious and tastefully decorated detached modern Provencal house for 8 to 10 people with private pool 8.5x4.5m. The house includes a bedroom with two bunk beds so that accommodation for 10 people is possible. Of course, occupancy by fewer people is also possible, giving you enough space to accommodate family, friends or acquaintances who come over for a few days.
The villa is built on a hill on the outskirts of Carcès. From 3 of the 4 bedrooms, the living room and from the terrace around the pool you have a unique view of the village of Carcès and the surrounding vineyards. Entering the spacious hall, on the left there is a toilet and the 'master bedroom' with a spacious bathroom with washbasins, shower and bath as well as a private toilet. To the right of the hall, a staircase leads down to the bedroom floor. Thanks to this layout, the bedroom floor has nice and cool yet plenty of light spaces in summer. A very spacious bedroom/recreation room with two bunk beds allows 4 people to use this room. This room also has a pool table and fitness equipment. Furthermore, on the sleeping floor you will find two more bedrooms, one of which is equipped with a double bed and a washbasin and the other with two single beds and also a washbasin. Finally, a bathroom with sink, shower and toilet is available here. The bedrooms all have access to a private terrace.
From the hallway, you walk straight past a cloakroom into the spacious living room with rustic beamed ceiling and a fireplace. Here you will also find the flat-screen TV, stereo system/radio/CD and DVD that you can enjoy from the comfort of your armchairs. To the left of the living room, you enter a large kitchen, equipped with a 5-burner induction hob, dishwasher, a combi oven/microwave, a large 'American' fridge equipped with a freezer with ice maker. The entire house has underfloor heating. Living room and kitchen have an exit to the covered terraces (where you have a gas barbecue) that connect to the spacious terraces around the pool of 8.5 by 4.5 metres. At the pool you can relax on the sun beds and enjoy the water, sun and views.

The villa is within walking distance of the typical Provencal village of Carcès. From the terrace, but also from the living room, you look out over the vineyards to Carcès. A unique view and especially spectacular in the evening. The house is at the very top of a residential area on the outskirts of Carcès and the peace and privacy are optimal. The property is not enclosed by a fence.
A few hundred metres away there is also a playground/skate park where children can expend their energy.
In Carcès you will find, among other things, your baker, butcher, an Intermarché, a bank branch, terraces and restaurants. On Saturday mornings there is a nice market in the village. A few kilometres away is Cotignac with many atmospheric terraces of bars and restaurants. The incredibly pleasant market here is on Tuesday mornings. Under the plane trees on the 'Cours' of Cotignac, you will certainly dream away from time to time over a pastis or a cup of coffee with the question in the back of your mind whether you still want to return to the 'cool' north. There are many Provençal bistros and restaurants in the vicinity of Carcès. We will be happy to inform you about these and other attractive markets upon your arrival.

Wat een fantastisch huis. Het ziet er prachtig uit. Alles is aanwezig. Fijn zwembad, schoon, we konden de bbq gebruiken. Hier hadden we een topvakantie.

Fantastische ervaring achter de rug! Mooie, ruime en verzorgde villa die smaakvol werd ingericht. Mooi en ruim terras met groot zwembad. Prachtig uitzicht vanop het terras. Je kan in de zon zitten maar ook in de schaduw onder het afdak. Vlotte communicatie met de persoon die het verhuur regelt. Je hebt in deze villa alles wat je nodig hebt, goede uitvalsbasis om stadjes te bezoeken en om naar gorges du verdon te gaan. Een aanrader voor iedereen!!

Restaurants, food & wine
If you like wine, the corner of Carcès and Cotignac is the right place for you. Rosé is of course the main product in this region, but nowadays they also produce good white and red wine. If you are interested, Margherita and Ron, your local contacts, will be happy to provide you with the addresses of some good wineries. On request we can organise a wine tasting in La Farigoulette during one of the afternoons or evenings of your stay. It is also possible to prepare an accompanying snack for you, in addition to the wine. We will discuss the details with you in order to make your discovery of the wines of the Var, or the deepening of your knowledge of them, as well as your wishes regarding the snacks to accompany the wine tasting, enjoyable and within your budget.
Activities
The house is ideally situated for a wide range of activities such as fishing, kayaking, cycling/mountain biking and hiking through the nearby vineyards. There are plenty of golf courses in the area and you can also play tennis and ride horses in the vicinity. A walk along the Lac de Carcès is one of the possibilities to enjoy the many beautiful walking routes in the area. At about 45 minutes distance, you will find the natural beauty of the Gorges du Verdon. Not only beautiful to look at, but also ideal for mountain climbing, mountain biking, canoeing, pedal boating etc.
Villages like Sillans la Cascade, Salernes, Flayosc, Lorgues, Villecroze, Tourtour and Aups lie within a radius of 20 km and are worth a visit. The beaches of Frejus and St. Tropez are at 45 km. The cities of Aix-en-Provence, Nice, Cannes, Toulon/Hyers can be reached by car in about 1 hour.
