The house
This beautiful Provence style is in three separate parts. on the ground floor is a bedroom with two single beds and a shower room with WC. It is not connected to the rest of the house, the door goes straight into the garden. The second part is a double bedroom with shower room and WC, a small sitting area and a corner kitchen. This does not connect to the rest of the house the door opens on to the garden. On the top floor is an apartment with a large double bedroom with twin beds, a full bathroom, separate WC. a large sitting area, dining area and a kitchen. There are glass doors on to the outside garden and terrace. There is a swimming pool

Een heerlijke week gehad in Les Valerians samen met twee volwassen zonen en een hond.
Door de indeling in 3 aparte "eenheden" met boven een ruime open keuken en zitkamer met slaapkamer en aparte badkamer en op de benedenverdieping twee aparte slaapkamers met eigen badkamer had iedereen alle ruimte.
Op de "bovenverdieping" grenst aan de keuken een ruim terras. Beneden bij de twee slaapkamers is een lekker zwembad dat de hele dag zon heeft. Niet groot, maar wel prima verzorgd en gevuld met zout water.
Het huis ligt op ongeveer 1200 meter van het centrum van Cotignac. Ondanks dat het in een buitenwijk van het dorp ligt, heb je alle privacy. Het dorp is prima te voet te bereiken, maar in het dorp is parkeren ook altijd mogelijk. Cotignac is een leuk dorp met een uitstekende bakker en slager en voldoende cafés en restaurants. Het ligt mooi centraal om de Var te ontdekken. Wij komen hier zeker nog een keer terug.
Restaurants, food & wine
The village of Cotignac a a large number of good eating places, both bars and restaurants ranging from the inexpensive to the gourmet. All are good in their own way.
Activities
This is full country Provence so lots of good walking through the hills around the village. There is an excellent market in the village every Tuesday morning. There are wine domains for wine tasting and buying. The Lac St Croix is just over three quarters of an hour away by car, and good for water sports and also hiking.

Further remarks
This is a nice house for a group of friends who don't want to be living in each others pockets, also good for a family with teenagers who would prefer to do their own thing.
