The house
The house has 4 bedrooms, 4 private bathrooms, a living room with a sitting area, a dining area and a kitchen. It is fully equipped with induction hobs, oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, pots and pans, cutlery, coffee maker, ... everything is on site. In the living room there is TV (TV-Vlaanderen) and a DVD player. Original Flemish series on DVD are available on request.
The private swimming pool is a surface-mounted swimming pool with a diameter of almost 5 meters.

Entrecasteaux is located in southern France, in the Var department. Entrecasteaux is such a typical Provencal village: a small center, a bakery, a butcher, a hairdresser, two cafés and a number of restaurants. These have their terraces at the foot of an impressive castle. There is no mass tourism here, it seems as if time has lingered in the 60s. From the cozy terraces in the shade of a row of plane trees you have a view of the old castle with a beautifully landscaped garden. The village itself is worth a visit: along narrow roads you can discover the old village center and you come to the Bresque, a small river that flows through the village. Every Friday morning it is a market among the plane trees.
During the holiday season, antique markets, artisan markets or all kinds of festivities are regularly organized in the village.
Festivities in Entrecasteaux:
July 13: fireworks and party on the village square
July 14: pasta party: you can eat pasta on the village square, then party
July 21st: fête des Belges: you can eat moules frites on the village square, then party
July 26: fete de Ste Anne: party on the town square
first weekend in August: fête de la Saint-Sauveur: small fairground attractions, a party every night and fireworks on Saturday evening
the first Monday of August: aïoli: this starts in the afternoon on the village square in the shade of the plane trees: aperitif, aioli, dessert, wine à volonté and then a party.
12 August: soupe au pistou: you can eat a thick vegetable soup with a lot of garlic on the village square and then party.
In the surrounding villages it is a fete of some saint on other weekends. There is a similar partying, and the tough weekend ends with an aioli on Monday afternoon.

Mooie omgeving en genoeg dingen om te doen.
De verhuurders zijn zeer vriendelijke mensen die graag voor je klaar staan. Zo had één van ons bijvoorbeeld hulp nodig bij een gekneusde pols, dit was allemaal niet te veel gevraagd.
Ook is het huis zeer comfortabel en schoon. Van alle gemakken voorzien en iedere kamer een eigen badkamer, wat ook erg fijn is.
Het enige nadeel is dat de WiFi erg zwak is in de slaapkamers, maar deze doet het in de woonkamer of buiten wel prima,

Net terug van een weldoende reis naar Entrecasteaux ! Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar! We werden hartelijk onthaald door Wim en Tinne, de Vlaamse eigenaars! Het huisje voldoet aan alle normen en is piekfijn in orde! Het is ook voorzien van alle faciliteiten. Met de vier slaapkamers, die ieder een eigen badkamer hebben, kan je er zeker met 2 gezinnen verblijven.Op het gezellige terras bij het huisje kan je van de rust genieten met een lekker glaasje wijn. Op 10 minuutjes wandelen ligt het pittoreske dorpje Entrecasteaux met enkele restaurantjes en gezellige terrasjes met uitzicht op het kasteel. Iedere morgen kan je verse broodjes halen bij de bakker. Ook zeker de moeite om de streek te verkennen met je E-bike of mooie wandelingen te maken. Hiervoor kregen we van de eigenaars uitgebreide info. Kortom, wij hebben genoten van deze prachtige reis met een uitstekende locatie! Doe zo voort, Tinne en Wim!

Twee heerlijke weken gehad in dit prachtige ruime vakantie huis. Alles was perfect in orde, keurig onderhouden en het huis was echt brandschoon! De bedden zijn prima en omdat het huis heel ruim is en iedere kamer een eigen badkamer heeft zou je hier gemakkelijk met twee gezinnen kunnen verblijven.
Het huis is van werkelijk alle gemakken voorzien (airco, zeer uitgeruste keuken, tuinmeubulair, wasmachine, droger etc), de kinderen hebben genoten van het opbouwzwembad, wat zeker niet onder doet voor een "echt" zwembad. In de omgeving is meer dan genoeg te beleven, een auto is wel noodzakelijk omdat alles op enige afstand van de woning gelegen is. Enige gemis is "natuurlijke schaduw" in de grote tuin, wat het zeker op de hete dagen nog aangenamer zou maken.
Dit huis is een absoluut een aanrader!

In Entrecasteaux you can play tennis, angling, horseback riding, play football, take many nature walks, cycle or mountain bike. Beautiful hiking trails leave from the villa in the great outdoors to the surrounding villages. Other opportunities for sports can be found in the immediate vicinity, such as kayaking, boat trips, rafting, paintballing, pedal boating and there is even a vast climbing park nearby.
For the experienced cycling tourist there are several cols in the area, for the occasional cyclist small trips can be made to neighboring villages. Within walking distance of our house you will find tennis courts, a football, a cricket and a basketball court, ...
