The house
"Colline du Soleil" is a beautiful 6-person villa with stunning views. It is located in the middle between the two Provencal villages of Le Thoronet and Lorgues. The privacy of "Colline du Soleil" is optimal, there are no (visible) neighbours. The views from the terraces and the swimming pool are phenomenal.
Layout: The open kitchen has large patio doors to the terrace and is equipped with all necessary appliances: fridge/freezer, oven, microwave, ceramic hob, Nespresso machine, etc. The adjoining living room has a TV with international channels, there is a DVD and Blueray reader and a cosy fireplace. WIFI Internet is available. The living room is air-conditioned.

The master bedroom has direct access to the terrace and a 160x200m double bed. The second bedroom has a 2 single beds and its own washbasin. There is a cot and a high chair and mosquito nets for the windows in the bedrooms. There is a separate toilet. The shared bathroom has a shower, two sinks, a washing machine and a dryer. The third bedroom is in the garden in a chalet with a 160x200m bed, toilet and sink. The chalet is equipped with heating and mosquito nets and has a nice view over the pool and the valley.
Both the rooms and the chalet are air-conditioned.

The holiday home "Colline du Soleil" is suitable for up to 7 persons and has a heated private swimming pool. This holiday home is situated on a southern slope and looks out over a small village around the Pont d'Argens (bridge over the river d'Argens). The privacy of "Colline du Soleil" is optimal, there are no (visible) neighbours and the house is situated on a private terrain of 3800m2. The swimming pool (9x4m) is next to the house and there is an outdoor shower, plenty of sun beds and a gas barbecue. The pool is heated from the end of April to the end of October and is set at 26 degrees. On the terrace from the living room there is a lovely dining table and large parasol, from where there is a beautiful view over the valley and the pool. It is particularly pleasant to relax on the pool terrace after sunset. The combination of the beautifully lit garden and terraces and the swimming pool will make an unforgettable impression. The swimming pool and terrace are completely fenced, which makes the house suitable for (small) children.
Colline du Soleil is officially located in the municipality of Lorgues in the Var region and is the heart of a large wine region, 500 metres from the Pont d'Argens. It is about 2.5 km to Le Thoronet, where you will find the bakery, butcher, fishmonger, small supermarket and post office. It is about 4 km to the popular market village of Lorgues, where you will find numerous restaurants and terraces. In the vicinity there are numerous wine chateaux and the famous Provencal markets. Recommended is the Tuesday morning market in Lorgues. The beaches of Frejus and St. Tropez are 35 km away. The cities of Nice, Cannes, Toulon/Hyers are all within 1 hour reach.

Geweldige woning! Heerlijk vertoeven, van alle gemakken voorzien. Lorgues is een ontzettend leuk en gezellig dorpje waar we graag volgend jaar weer terugkeren!

Restaurants, food & wine
There are many Provençal bistros and restaurants in the vicinity. Highly recommended is the restaurant Bruno in Lorgues, widely known as "the truffle king". There are atmospheric terraces in medieval surroundings where you can enjoy a glass of rosé under the plane trees. The area is also characterised by old wine chateaux, where you can taste and buy wine at the chateau almost everywhere. For a list of restaurants in the area, see our website http://www.qhome.fr.
Activities
The house is ideally situated for a wide range of activities such as swimming in the river, fishing, kayaking, cycling/mountain biking and hiking through the nearby vineyards. You can play golf, more than 10 golf courses in the area, (for more golf possibilities see www.qhome.fr ), play tennis and ride horses. At about 45 minutes distance, you will find the natural beauty of the Gorges du Verdon.
There are also numerous winter sports possibilities. Greolieres is 1 hour drive away and the mundane Isola 2000 and the picturesque village of Valberg is 1.5 hours drive away. Valberg we find ourselves really recommended and still has the atmosphere with wooden chalets and beautiful terraces and cozy restaurants, this village is 78 km north of Nice.
