Lorgues is a typically Provençale village in the heart of the Var and it offers you a lot of culture with nice boutiques, pubs and restaurants and every Tuesday and Friday a public market which you don’t want to miss.

The lake Saint Croix and the sea are both less than one hour’s drive away and the Mont Ventoux is 140 miles distance.
The local gastronomy offers you all you want, as there is pesto-soup, aioli, a local fish dish with garlic-mayonnaise, all kind of tapanades, bouillabaisse, truffle, honey, nougat, calissons, and the provençale herbs basil, thyme, lavender and many more
In the Var you will find more than 80 museums, 30 public parks and gardens and a lot of monuments, churches, mountain villages, and fishing villages and from the sea till the Gorges du verdon you can walk on the GR (Grande Randonnée) path and all kinds of waterparks, the zoo, adventure parks, bowling, karting, paintball and even a circus-school.
The Var is the perfect mixture of the Provence and the Cote d’Azur with the highlights Gorges du Verdon near Castellane and Moustier Sainte Marie and the lake Sainte Croix.
