The house
Holiday home Maison Mennoise in southern France department of the Var , is a beautiful luxury villa built in 2015 . Our holiday home is very spacious on 5000 square metres of land. The luxurious heated pool of 10 x 5 m has a spacious terrace around it with an attractive pool house / outdoor kitchen to fully enjoy the sun. There is also a boules court and a ping pong table at your disposal. In total, the villa offers space for eight people. There are three double bedrooms in the villa and the existing chambre d'amis/studio, with its own entrance, can sleep another two people.
The master bedroom is on the ground floor. This bedroom has plenty of wardrobe space and a spacious ensuite bathroom with bath, shower, toilet and double washbasin. The other two bedrooms are on the first floor. Both rooms are equipped with a double bed, which can also be separated. Between the two bedrooms there is another bathroom. This bathroom is equipped with a shower and double washbasin. A separate toilet is located opposite the bathroom on the landing. The chambre d'amis / studio (located on the ground floor) has a double bed and a spacious bathroom with shower, toilet and washbasin. Furthermore, the chambre d'amis / studio has a kitchenette and a two-person dining table.
The modern kitchen has a cooking island with a spacious five-burner hob. There is also an oven and a dishwasher. From the cooking island you have a fantastic view of the garden and the heated pool, in a beautiful green setting of the hilly countryside.
In the utility room there is an additional dishwasher, washing machine and a very spacious American fridge with large freezer compartment. The spacious open kitchen is connected to a dining room where there is a large dining table. The terrace is accessed via two large sliding glass doors, each with a three-metre opening, which slide away completely into the wall, allowing the house to merge into the terrace.
The living room is an attractive space overlooking the terrace, heated pool with pool house and spacious garden. There are two portable air conditioners.
Smoking is not allowed in this holiday home.

Holiday home Maison Mennoise is very quiet but not secluded. This villa was built in 2015. Via Google Maps, the place is indicated on the map . Near this part of southern France is the Mediterranean Sea / Cote d'Azur and you will find the Provencal cities and villages, Grasse, Frejus, Saint Tropez, Aix en Provence , Toulon, Marseille, Hyeres, Cannes and Nice. In the immediate vicinity of the house are the idyllic villages of Tourrettes, Montauroux , Callian , Seillans and Fayence where you are in the middle of it with about 10 minutes' drive. Which are known for their honey and delicious wines, among other things. The villages are surrounded by olive trees, vast forests, vineyards and Chateaux.
About 10 minutes away is the deep blue lake , lac St. Cassien, with beautiful beaches and nice restaurants.
Besides Fayence, in the area there are Grasse the perfume city (approx. 25km). Frejus, St Rafael, la Napoule and Mandelieu In ca. 30 minutes you are at the beach. With approx. 30/45 min drive you are in Nice, Cannes or St. Tropez. By the way, St. Tropez can also be easily reached by boat from the port of St. Rafael or St. Maxime and you will be there in no time without traffic jams.
The area is surrounded by mountains and has a unique location at around 300 metres altitude. This allows you to enjoy the pleasant Provençal climate with plenty of sun and warmth during the day, and the nights are pleasantly cool even in summer, especially if you keep the shutters of the house closed during the day. For lovers of golf, the luxury golf resort la Terre Blanche is about 10 minutes' drive away. About 1.5 hours' drive via scenic routes takes you to the Gorge du Verdon with the beautiful Lac St. Croix. There are also numerous sights in this beautiful part of southern France.

Wij hebben genoten van een heerlijke vakantie. Wij waren met 2 gezinnen, met elk 2 kleine kinderen, en het huis is meer dan groot genoeg voor 8 personen. Wij huren ieder jaar een huis in het Zuiden, en hebben zelden zo'n goed uitgeruste keuken gehad. Ook de buitenmaterialen (lounge, ligbedden, tafels) zijn van uitstekende kwaliteit. Er zijn verschillende hoekjes waar je kan vertoeven, die allen bijzonder gezellig zijn. Enige minpunt van mijn kant is dat er geen airco is, maar daar hebben de andere gasten dan weer minder last mee gehad. Kortom, een quasi perfect verblijf :-) Het huis is 100% aan te bevelen.

De airco wordt waarschijnlijk binnenkort geplaatst dus wie weet tot volgend jaar.

Fijn huis en heerlijke tuin, met super aangelegd zwembad met uitgebreid terras en poolhouse!
Voor kids ook super met mooi vlak gazon en groen gras om te spelen. Ook pingpong tafel en petanque baan aanwezig.
Net afgelegen genoeg om dat vrije gevoel te krijgen maar korte afstand tot bakker en voorzieningen en snel weer terug te zijn.
Aanwezigheid van iets van horrengaas of afscherming bij de schuifpui zou nog een superverbetering zijn.
Wifi snelheid was prima voor de normale activiteiten. Het plezier (zweef) vliegveld dichtbij: ze komen af en toe over maar voor onze kids alleen maar leuk!
Uitstapjes: lac st cas, esterel kust met mooie snorkelbaaitjes en cap d' antibes, maar eigenlijk wil je gewoon rond dit zwembad zijn!Comment from Danielle Van Kicken

Wij hebben genoten van dit heerlijke ruime vakantiehuis met grote tuin en fijne zwembad en poolhouse. Alles was aanwezig voor het gemak: 2 vaatwassers, 1 wasmachine , 2 ruime koelkasten met groot vriesgedeelte. Voldoende gerief in de keuken ! Goede koffiemachine ! Goede oven en microgolfoven. De bedden waren prima. Voldoende ligzetels en parasols rond het zwembad. Petanquebaan, tafeltennis ... Zeer mooie tuinverlichting !
Goed om te weten voor oudere mensen: er is geen airco .
Goed om te weten voor kinderen: het zwembad is 1,5 tot 2 meter diep, dus geen ondiep gedeelte voor kinderen.
Goed om te weten : het is vrij afgelegen ( auto is noodzakelijk) en dus zalig rustig ! Maar er komen vaak sport- en zweefvliegtuigen over van het nabije vliegveld wat wel wat geluidshinder kan geven.
Corali , de buurvrouw, was uiterst gedienstig en behulpzaam .
Restaurants, food & wine
Right in the area near the villages of Fayence , Tourrettes , Seillans , Callian and Montauroux in the Provence, Côte Azur of southern France you will find a selection of Provençal restaurants. You can choose from French speciality restaurants or a bistro with a simple menu of the day or a pizza. The villages also have cosy cafés with terraces. The restaurants have either beautiful views or the cosiness of the small Provençal streets and squares. In summer, almost every week in one of the villages there are local wine village festivals, cosy and fun for an evening out having a drink and a dance on the village square. The wineries in the area are also worth a visit, just call/inform in advance if they are open.
Activities
Fayence ( a beautiful village in southern France , Provence, Cote Azur) and its surroundings have a lot to offer you! In summer it is pleasantly crowded on the terraces in the centre of Fayence. If you would like to go to a real French market during your holiday, there are traditional Provencal markets all year round: in summer on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, and from November to April every Thursday and Saturday. You can also visit French markets in the other villages. A ten-minute drive away you can swim in the lake Saint Cassien , play tennis in Fayence and play golf, (Terre Blanche, the brand new very luxurious golf resort is only about a 10-minute drive away).
In the immediate vicinity you can still practice the following sports: climbing, swimming, mountain biking, hiking, water sports, gliding, horse riding, golf, mountain sports and fishing on the lac St. Cassien, which is famous for fishermen. In the winter months, you have the opportunity to go skiing/snowboarding already about 1 hour away.

Holiday home Maison Mennoise is very quiet but certainly not too secluded on 5000 m2 of land.
On the road to the villa there are some other villas and two restored old farms. Every house that is built has to stand on at least 5000 m.2 of land, leaving plenty of space around the houses in the immediate vicinity.
At 5 to 10 minutes' drive there are several shopping centres with supermarkets where really everything is available.
Pets are not allowed and smoking in the house is prohibited.
The deposit is € 1500,- cost cleaning and linen, including bed linen, towels and kitchen towels etc. including checkin/checkout are 300,- this will be deducted from your deposit.
