The house
This old Provencal hunting lodge ("Agachoun"), located in a very quiet rural setting, is made up of 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms spread across two floors and comfortably sleeps 8 (in addition there is a baby cot available). It has a large living area with lounge section (including fireplace) and a dining section with table and chairs. Fully equipped kitchen is adjoined to dining area, with a small breakfast table inside.
The house is in perfectly good condition but if you come, you will probably want to spend almost all of your time outside - that is the real beauty of Agachoun! (see details below and pictures)

The Villa is situated in a unique location in the midst of agricultural Provence, at the edge of a nature reserve. It has an exceptional outdoor area with spectacular views from the infinity pool overlooking a valley of olive groves and ancient ruins. It is also walking distance from the picturesque village of Tourtour, an attraction in itself with an idyllic central square and several bars and restaurants - voted one of the most beautiful villages of France for good reason!
Perfect for a family holiday or rendezvous with friends. Particularly good for kids with lots of space to play (including a field below the house), pool (with gate) and trampoline.
It is also perfect for mountain bikers and hikers given the proximity to numerous trails, and is an easy jumping off point for anyone wanting to explore the local wine farms and the rest of the truffle-famous Var region, including the Lac de Saint Croix, Gorges du Verdon and even the Mediterranean for those craving a day by the sea.

Fantastische locatie. Door de ligging op 600 m hoogte een lekker windje als het erg warm is. Slecht onderhouden en gedateerd huisje en zwembad. Prima verblijf gehad maar zonder verbetering door de eigenaar niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

Prachtige rustig gelegen locatie - subliem uitzicht. Huis met beperkt comfort, nood aan innovatie: sobere keuken, gas-bbq maar geen gas, geur in douches die niet weg te krijgen was, herstellingen nodig aan zwembad,, beperkte WIFI,…. Heel geschikt om buiten te leven, maar wegens alle dagen regen, 17 graden en geen zon waren we genoodzaakt meer tijd binnen door te brengen en dan geniet je minder van de sterke plussen van Agachoun.

We hebben 2 heerlijk weken gehad in deze prachtige omgeving. Het huis is ruim en de ligging is prachtig. Helaas is de inrichting erg gedateerd, kan een upgrade gebruiken. Verder heeft het wel alles wat je nodig hebt. Het verwarmde zwembad was favoriet bij onze kinderen en het uitzicht blijft je fascineren! De vriendelijke caretaker Bella staat voor je klaar wanneer nodig, hij is zeer behulpzaam!
