The house
Right in the the middle of a beautiful 300 ha large domain with forest and field you will find Domain de la Blaque, an 18th century bastide with converted barn, renovated into a charming and comfortable holiday home suitable for two to six people. (There are two other gites plus two chambre d'hotes and an independent house on the domain which can also be rented)
There are a tennis court and (a secured) swimming pool of 12 by 6 m on site. We have an observatory where you can get an introduction to astronomy and share our passion for the Provencal sky.
Private terrace with garden furniture, spacious living room with fire place, television, open plan kitchen, dishwasher. There are two double bedrooms, one bedroom with two bunkbeds, a bathroom and wc. We also have a laundry room with washing machine.
Splendid view in a totally preserved environment.
Everything has been renovated with passion and using old materials: oak beams, terracotta floors and white washed walls

Domaine de la Blaque is an ideal place to discover the Provence in a quiet and sunny environment, enjoy the exceptional setting and explore at ease the natural and cultural environment of this region. Varages is a typical village of the high Var where you can see traditional faïencière, earthenware, and which also has all the necessary shops.
Less than an hour from Aix, Marseille or Manosque or the sea side and near the Gorges du Verdon and lakes, you will have a large choice of day trips and excursions. Our location allows you to enjoy Gorge du Verdon, the Esparron lakes and Ste Croix, typical villages of Provence with their historical assets: museum of prehistory, Thoronet abbey ... as well as cities like Aix, Manosque, Marseille ... or the Côte d'Azur, the creeks of Cassis ...

There are wine routes to explores.
Varages is a typical village of the high Var with many artisans who still practise the great tradition of faïencière (earthenware).
Barjols at 10 km is a village with many artisan workshops. There are several markets with regional products on offer, there are flea markets and leather.

We have a swimming pool, tennis court and petanque field on site. You can get acquainted with astronomy in the observatories.
Possibility of painting or decoration on faience earthenware and floral decoration workshops.
Several walking paths or mountain biking.

gite for 2/3 persons: 390 to 820 euros depending on the season
gite for 4/6 persons : 420 to 1090 euros depending on the season
gite for 6/8 persons: 460 to 1320 euros depending on the season
