The house
Downstairs there is a large fully equipped kitchen next to a spacious sitting room.
Also a spacious bedroom with twin beds, and annex shower room with WC. This bedroom has direct access to the outside terrace. This floor and bedroom are suitable for people with reduced mobility.
Upstairs are three bedrooms;
Bedroom 1. has a double bed 140 x 190cms and en-suite shower room with WC
Bedroom 2. has twin beds 90 x 190cms.
Bedroom 3. also has twin beds.
There is also a bathroom with a bath, and WC
This is a traditional stone built, 4 bedroom house, in a large garden, with a pool. Outside there is a very large covered terrace area with tables, chairs and sofas, for 8 people.
There is a barbecue.
The swimming pool is 3m x 10m.

The house is in a small hamlet, one of the seven which make up the commune of Beaumont du Ventoux. It stands in it’s own grounds, set in a valley with wonderful views of the surrounding mountain sides, on the foothills of Mt. Ventoux.
Beaumont is an agricultural community, and generally very peaceful and tranqul.
The house has a walled garden and is completely private. The owners live 3kms distance and can be readily available if any help or advice is needed. We will be there to greet you on your arrival, and also to keep an eye on the pool

Heerlijk huis, met perfecte tuin en ligging. Uitvalsbasis voor diverse uitstapjes naar mooie dorpjes. Dichtbij Malaucene met supermarkt, bakkers en restaurants.

We hebben genoten van ons verblijf in La maison aux Alazards! Een prachtig huis, gebouwd met authentieke oude materialen, mooi en gezellig ingericht , een zeer goed uitgeruste keuken, van alle gemakken voorzien.
Buiten de heerlijke veranda met zitjes waar we vele uren doorbrachten, de schitterende tuin met zijn bloemen, kruiden en vogeltjes, de grote bbq, het mooie bassin met fijne ligbedden. Een geweldig uitzicht op de bergen en de bossen, er loopt een wandelpad vanaf het huis naar de Mont Ventoux en een aanrader is de wandeling (vlakbij Mollans-sur-Ouveze) door Les Gorges du Toulourenc (door de rivier). Alle boodschappen en terrasjes op 10 minuten (met de auto) in Malaucène, met een leuke markt op woensdagochtend. Veel leuke plaatsen in de omgeving, zoals Vaison-la-Romaine, Carpentras, Nyons en meer.

Superbe maison pleine de charme , un havre de tranquilité tout en étant à proximité des sites touristiques.
La maison est trés bien entretenue et ne manque de rien.
Le jardin est splendide, qu'il est bon de se prélasser au bord de la piscine en se laissant bercer par le chant des cigales.
Et que dire de l'aménagement exterieur ou vous passerez de belles soirées autour du barbecue entre amis ou famille.
June et Paul sont toujours à l'écoute tout en étant discret.
En un mot, un cocktail réussi pour de belles vacances
Restaurants, food & wine
Malaucène: Wednesday morning is market day in Malaucène. Here there are many cafés and restaurants where you can take your cup of coffee on the sunny terrasse, or eat provençal food with a good local wine, Côtes du Rhône or Côtes du Ventoux. There is also a supermaket and bakers shops.
Activities
The Mt Ventoux is a famous cycling area, and the nearest village, Malaucène, 5kms down the road, has an excellent bike hire shop.
The waters of the rivers Toulerenc and Ouveze are good places for a cool hike in the heat.
There is the famous Avignon festival in July, and many other cultural activities and festivals in the area.
There are regular weekend flea markets, and also antique markets.
Every day of the week there is a colourful market in a different nearby town, where you can buy local produce such as olives, cheeses, fruit and vegetables and delicious bread, with a numbers of small producers offering organic options. Also typical Provençal wares like lavender essence, soaps, and fabrics.
Plenty of good restaurants to eat in, and Cotes du Rhone and Cotes du Ventoux wines to sample.

The area is renowned for walking, the GR 4 is practically on the doorstep.
Also a famous cycling region, the nearest village, Malaucène, 6kms down the road, has an excellent bike hire shop.
Well known for it's historical sites and Roman remains, there is even a Roman quarry in the Beaumont valley where the stones for Roman monuments in Vaison La Romaine were cut. It is an area known for it's natural beauty, and of course for the dominating spectacle of the great Mt. Ventoux, the Giant of Provence
Mt Ventoux: At an altitude of almost 2000m, from the summit of Mt Ventoux , you can look south to the Rhone valley, with it's vinyards, it's fields of cherries, apricots, peach and plum trees, and to the north, the mountains of the Drôme, with their fields of lavender and olive groves.
At the foot of the mountain lies the commune of Beaumont du Ventoux, where fruit orchards and table and wine grapevines dominate the landscape. Beaumont even has it's own Côtes du Ventoux, which you can taste at the local caveau.
