The house
The cottage is part of two linked gîtes (4 + 6 people) on their own grounds of approx. 5900m2, which can also be rented together, allowing a group of 10 people to stay at the location (see also l' Homme de fer - gîte "Peggy").
The gîtes are located in a shared, enclosed garden of approx. 2700m2.
This gîte "Kathy" can accommodate 4 people.
A living room with wood-burning stove, satellite TV/radio. Furnished conservatory. A bedroom with two single beds with toilet and washbasin and a bedroom with two single beds. Bathroom with shower and toilet. Fully equipped kitchen (electric cooker, oven, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer), washing machine and gas heating.
High chair and cot (excl. bed linen) are standard.

A cosy spacious living room with fireplace, satellite TV/radio. Furnished conservatory. Three bedrooms, one on the 1st floor with two single beds and two bedrooms downstairs both with two single beds. Bathroom with bath/shower and toilet. Separate toilet. Fully equipped kitchen (electric cooker, oven, dishwasher, fridge, microwave), washing machine, freezer and central heating.
Each gîte has its own terrace and garden furniture. A swimming pool (11.5x5m) and jeu-de-boules pitches are shared. The fully enclosed, beautiful garden offers plenty of shade and sun all day long. And you can enjoy the majestic Mont Ventoux in your backyard.
Fixed barbecue available at each property. Also a large playground.
The swimming pool is open from May until the end of September.

The gîtes are at walking distance (approx. 2 km) from the picturesque village of Bédoin, on the southern slope of the Mont Ventoux. In the village you will find a bakery and a supermarket and of course many cosy terraces. You will also find the tourist office, where you can go for all tourist information, cycling- and walking routes.

Een geweldige plek! Wij maakten gebruik van de gite Kathy, en waren onder de indruk van hoe compleet alles was (keukeninventaris bijvoorbeeld), en hoe schoon. Jan en Lucie verbleven zelf in gite Peggy. Zij zijn super gastvrij en gezellig in de omgang. De bedden zijn uitstekend te noemen, dat is ook wel eens anders als je iets huurt. Helaas was het zwembad nog niet open, maar het mooie meer in de buurt was al prima om in te zwemmen. Dit is gelegen vlak in de buurt van een klimpark (ook aan te raden) en een gezellig terras, maar is toch rustig vertoeven. Kanoën op de Cèze, een boek lezen in het zonnetje in de tuin, de markt in Bedoin, mooie stadjes bezoeken, en 's avonds sterren kijken met een glaasje wijn in de hand van de in de buurt gelegen coöperatie. Het was een topweek en willen zeker terugkomen!

Geweldige 10-daagse doorgebracht in gîte "Kathy"! Niks op aan te merken alles tip top in orde.
Heel erg genoten van het mega grote zwembad en petanque-veld met telkens prachtig uitzicht op de kale berg.
Leuke wandelingen door kloven en rivieren... Fijne fietstochten in de nabijheid van de Ventoux...

In juni 2018 hebben wij twee heerlijke vakantieweken doorgebracht op deze idyllische plek in Provençaalse gîte Kathy. Een comfortabel huis van alle gemakken voorzien, waar genieten van de zon, het zwembad, de ruime tuin zowel voor als achter met genoeg natuurlijke schaduw, de jeu de boulesbaan en niet te vergeten het heerlijke zwembad alles biedt voor een heerlijke vakantie. Naast de fiets-en wandelmogelijkheden voor liefhebbers zijn er leuke markten, dorpen en steden die het bezoeken waard zijn. De omgeving is prachtig, wijngaarden en caves, de lavendel rondom Sault, de gorges du Nesque ..... Kortom een aanrader!
Restaurants, food & wine
In Bédoin and the villages in the immediate vicinity, you will find numerous restaurants, from the typical Provençal to the very chic. Visitors to the houses make a habit of sharing their experiences with you. They will leave you their business cards from the restaurants. You can buy wine directly from the local wine growers or from the local cooperative wine cave.
Activities
Bédoin is a touristic, French village with a nice weekly market on Monday. During the whole season there are activities and shows in the village (a lot of culture and animation).
From holiday home "l' Homme de fer" there are beautiful cycling routes (for beginners and advanced cyclists). There are also various possibilities for mountain bikers.
For the hikers the Dentelles de Montmirail, the Mont Ventoux and the Gorges de la Nesque are a challenge.
In this beautiful region with Roman history, there is a lot to see: Gorges de la Nesque (10 km), Sault (25 km), Avignon (25 km), Vaison la Romaine (15 km), Carpentras (15 km), top of Mont Ventoux (22 km).

Further remarks
Provence is characterised by a pleasant climate. From May onwards, it is lovely to be here and you can already enjoy plenty of sunshine. Also September and October still have beautiful sunny days. The ideal time to enjoy all the beauty in peace and quiet.

The houses are only 30 minutes from the Route du Soleil.

Final cleaning is obligatory € 50.-, this is not included in the price.
