The house
The cottage is part of two linked gîtes (4 + 6 people) on their own grounds of approx. 5900m2, which can also be rented together, allowing a group of 10 people to stay at the location (see also l' Homme de fer - gîte "Kathy").
The gîtes are situated in a shared, enclosed garden of approx. 2700m2.

This gîte "Peggy" accommodates 6 people.
A cosy spacious living room with fireplace, satellite TV/radio. Furnished conservatory. Three bedrooms, of which one on the 1st floor with two single beds and two bedrooms downstairs both with two single beds Bathroom with bath/shower and toilet. Separate 2nd toilet. Practically equipped kitchen (electric cooker, oven, dishwasher, fridge, microwave), washing machine, freezer and central heating.
High chair and cot (excl. bed linen) are standard.
The other gîte "Kathy" sleeps 4.
Living room with wood-burning stove, satellite TV/radio. Furnished conservatory. Bedroom with a double bed, with toilet and washbasin and a bedroom with two single beds. Bathroom with shower and toilet. Practically equipped kitchen (electric cooker, oven, microwave, dishwasher and fridge/freezer), washing machine and gas heating.
Each cottage has its own terraces and garden furniture. A swimming pool (11.5 x 5m) and jeu-de-boule courts are shared. The fully enclosed, beautiful garden offers plenty of shade and sun all day long. And you can enjoy the majestic Mont Ventoux, which is like being in your backyard.
Fixed BBQ available at each property. Also a large playing field.
The swimming pool is open from May until the end of September.

The gîtes are at walking distance (approx. 2 km) from the picturesque village of Bédoin, on the southern slope of the Mont Ventoux. In the village you will find a bakery and a supermarket and of course many cosy terraces. You will also find the tourist office, where you can go for all tourist information, cycling- and walking routes.

In Bédoin and the villages in the immediate vicinity, you will find numerous restaurants, from the typical Provençal to the very chic. Visitors to the houses make a habit of sharing their experiences with you. They will leave you their business cards from the restaurants. You can buy wine directly from the local wine growers or from the local cooperative wine cave.
Activities
Bédoin is a touristic, French village with a nice weekly market on Monday. During the whole season there are activities and shows in the village (a lot of culture and animation).
From "l' Homme de fer" there are beautiful cycling routes (for beginners and advanced) possible. Also for the mountain bikers there are several possibilities.
For the hikers the Dentelles de Montmirail, the Mont Ventoux and the Gorges de la Nesque are a challenge.
In this beautiful region with Roman history, there is a lot to see: Gorges de la Nesque (10 km), Sault (25 km), Avignon (25 km), Vaison la Romaine (15 km), Carpentras (15 km), top of Mont Ventoux (22 km).

Further remarks
Provence is characterised by a pleasant climate. From May onwards, it is lovely to be here and you can already enjoy plenty of sunshine. Also September and October still have beautiful sunny days. The ideal time to enjoy all the beauty in peace and quiet.

Hoi,
Wij hebben een fantastische vakantie gehad met onze 2 tienerdochters bij "Kathy"!
De ligging van "l' homme de fer" is geweldig in het bijzijn van de Mont Ventoux.
Het zwembad is mooi en proper, hier hebben we veelvuldig gebruik van gemaakt, heerlijk!!!
Natuurlijk hebben we de omgeving ontdekt met uitstapjes, ideale ligging.Indien we nog eens in Z-Frankrijk komen willen we zeker op uw domein verblijven, we raden ook onze familie en kennissen aan om daar te verblijven.

Wij verbleven gedurende een week in de prachtige streek rond de Mont Ventoux. Het dorpje, zo een kilometer of twee verwijderd van het vakantiehuisje, is een heel pittoresk Frans dorpje en tegelijkertijd toch ook een plaats waar vele nationaliteiten terug te vinden zijn: Belgen, Nederlanders, Fransen, Zwitsers,Denen, Oostenrijkers ...
Het huisje zelf is dik oké: alles wat men nodig heeft is er. Een groot voordeel is het systeem van de vuilbakken: een bedrijf komt iedere week twee vuilbakken (wel op twee verschillende tijdstippen) leegmaken vroeg op de morgen. Dit impliceert dat men zelf niet hoeft het vuil (PMD, karton/papier en restafval) weg te brengen. Het zwembad is ruim genoeg en bovendien wordt het goed onderhouden door de contactpersonen van de eigenaars. Deze contactpersonen zijn trouwens zeer vriendelijk.
De barbecue levert kwalitatief goed vlees. Een element wel is dat men best de begroeiing errond verwijdert zodat risico op brand geminimaliseerd wordt. Onder de bomen kan je inderdaad goed verkoeling vinden. De kussens die horen bij de buitenstoelen zitten zeer comfortabel Internetontvangst is een van de besten die wij ooit kenden op onze vakanties in Zuid- Frankrijk.
Bedoin is zonder twijfel een dorpje dat je moet bezoeken als je wielertoerist bent. De beklimming van de Mont Ventoux is onwaarschijnlijk. Bij aankomst aan de top wordt je bij mooi weer beloond op een prachtig uitzicht. Vanuit het domein heb je nota bene ook een prachtig zicht op de Mont Ventoux. Ik persoonlijk vond hem het mooiste bij zonsondergang.
Echter ook voor mensen die niet fietsen is deze plaats een aanrader: de streek is typisch Frans: heel pittoreske dorpjes, prachtige (water)wandelingen in de buurt, wijnproeverijen etc.Yoni from Leuven,
Ons verblijf was zeer aangenaam. Bij aankomst alles zeer goed onderhouden. Lekker zwembad. Daar zouden er misschien wel parasols kunnen bij gezet worden. Internetbereik was zeer goed!!! Zelfs buiten aan het zwembad en op het terras. Vanuit het huisje kan je de Mont Ventoux zien. Prachtig zicht dus. De slaapkamers waren in orde! Alleen was het wel moeilijk om met de valiezen naar de kamer op het tweede verdiep te gaan omwille van een draaitrap.

De parasols bij het zwembad zijn helaas niet mogelijk. Bij eventuele mistral liggen die zo in het zwembad. Het blijft verkoeling zoeken onder de bomen.
