The house
This beautiful gite, built in 2018, is located separately from the main house and has its own covered terrace and view of Mont Ventoux. Including the covered terrace at the front, the gite measures 82 m2. There are three bedrooms. Two bedrooms have new box spring beds of 2.10 x 0.80 metres. In the third bedroom there is a bunk bed of 2.00 x 0.90 metres. The gite is very suitable for small groups of cyclists who want to climb the Mont Ventoux and for families. Cyclists can store their bikes in the lockable shed in the courtyard.
The gite is practically furnished. The floor is made of Egyptian marble. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher and an oven. The gite has a heat pump which keeps the house at a pleasant temperature in the winter and provides cooling in the summer. Pets only on request. The gite is part of Les Terrasses de Cascavelle. A small-scale accommodation with, besides the gite, 3 chambres d'hotes that can also be rented as smaller gites. There is a beautiful new swimming pool of 12x4 metres. The new complex is beautifully situated.

The gite is situated 10 km from the foot of the Mont Ventoux and close to the Gorges de Nesque. This makes the gite a very suitable base for cyclists. You can walk directly from the gite along signposted routes. The gite is located in the heart of the Vaucluse and the numerous Provencal sights are easily accessible. You can visit cities like Avignon and Orange, but also enjoy the numerous small picturesque villages. Those who want to stay close to home can enjoy the (covered) terraces by the pool.

Restaurants, food & wine
Blauvac is located in the Mont Ventoux wine region, which has its own appellation. In the immediate vicinity, you can taste and buy delicious wine at the many domains. Nowadays, the Mont Ventoux has excellent wines, which are still friendly in price due to their relative obscurity. A little further away, you will find the vineyards of Chateauneuf du Pape and Vacqueras.
If you like good food, you will find it in the immediate vicinity. At a distance of 2 km, there are some delicious restaurants that are very reasonable in price. In the whole area there are enough restaurants to go somewhere else every night. In the high season tables d'hotes are available a few times a week at 27,50 euro pp.

Het verblijf in Gite de Cascavelles was super. Absoluut aan te raden.
Gastvrouw Jolanda en gastheer Rob hebben ons super ontvangen en bezorgden ons heel wat nuttige tips rond bezienswaardigheden, activiteiten en dergelijke.
De gite is relatief nieuw en alles wat je nodig kan hebben is aanwezig.

Fijn verblijf bij Cascavelle gehad! Mooi, nieuw en comfortabel huis (fijne airco). De ligging is heel mooi met ruim zicht op de Mont Ventoux.en idyllisch zicht op Blauvac! We hebben genoten van het zwembad tijdens de warme week in de Provence.
