The house
Tastefully decorated gite with use of swimming pool. The gîte is located on our closed private property and is situated on a dead-end road (no through traffic) in a very quiet suburb on the north side of the beautiful Provencal town of Carpentras. Our house is on the same property.
Stylishly furnished living/dining room with leather sofa, dining table with chairs, satellite TV and wifi.
Bedroom with double bed (160 x 200).
Spacious bathroom with washbasin, shower and toilet (bath and bed linen included).
Small but very practical separate kitchen with double electric hob, fridge-freezer, oven/microwave, kettle and Senseo or traditional coffee machine.
The house has a well maintained fenced garden with a lawn and a partly covered terrace. From this terrace you have a view of the garden and the swimming pool. You also have access to the swimming pool (10 x 5 m). There is sufficient garden furniture, among others 2 sun beds, a parasol and a barbecue.

The department Vaucluse is located in the region Provence. Well known in this region is the Mont Ventoux. It is the only mountain in the region and is therefore also called the Giant of Provence. The summit is 1912 metres high. The altitude difference with the foot of the mountain is 1614 metres. In the region, the wine Côtes du Ventoux is made.
The capital of Vaucluse is Avignon, located at the river Durance. The historical centre, which is on the World Heritage list of UNESCO, is surrounded by a city wall of 4.2 kilometres long with seven gates. You may know Avignon from the big theatre festival that is held every year in the month of July. Or maybe you know it from the children's song Sur le pont d'Avignon:

From your cottage, you can continue to discover the many treasures of the region. At a short distance you will find amongst others the Mont Ventoux, Roman excavations in Vaison la Romaine and not to forget the famous vineyards of the Côtes du Rhône like Gigondas, Vacqueras, Beaumes de Venise. Further in the area: the market of Carpentras (every Friday morning) is one of the largest and most varied of the region. The Mont Ventoux, the Dentelles of Montmirail and the pass of Mont Ventoux; for the flora and fauna, the walks, the bicycle rides and the hidden villages. Isle sur la Sorgues, known for its antiques and flea markets. Avignon and Orange are 30 kilometres away with its museums, amphitheatre, shops and restaurants.

Het voelt zo als thuiskomen
We zijn er nu voor de 2e keer geweest, maar het was weer fantastisch !! Esther is een super gastvrouw.....een superhuisje met een grootzwembad....en een gezellige tuin met een groot terras.......we zijn alleen maar positief.......dichtbij prachtige bezienswaardigheden... dankjewel voor alles.....en misschien tot volgend jaarPeter en Anja from Alphen aan den Rijn,
Wij zijn hier de afgelopen 3 weken geweest, het is een klein huisje maar waar het werkelijk aan niets ontbreekt. Het zwembad was met de hoge temperaturen heerlijk. Esther is een fantastische gastvrouw waar je met al je vragen terecht kan, in de omgeving zijn heel veel gezellige kleine plaatsjes met heerlijke restaurants. Kortom wat ons betreft een aanrader voor een heerlijke onbezorgde vakantie.

Gites Petit is welswaar niet groot zoals de naam al aangeeft maar het ontbreekt je daar werkelijk aan niets. Alles is er aanwezig om een aangenaam verblijf te garanderen in een gezellig en knus verblijf. Zelfs NL televisie voor diegene die dit niet kan missen. Wij konden dat wel want de prachtige omgeving midden in de wijngebieden bieden meer dan voldoende vermaak en afleiding om aan het einde van de dag op het heerlijke terrasje deze te evalueren onder het genot van een glaasje wijn met zicht op het forse zwembad. Dit in combinatie met de gastvrijheid van de eigenaresse kunnen wij stellen dat het in Gites Petit goed vertoeven is in de nabijheid van de Mont Ventoux. Een aanrader dus!

The many wine domains in the immediate vicinity are a delight, domaine de la Marotte, Dutch wine growers, is just around the corner, you will always find a wine that meets your needs.

There are plenty of challenges for the sporty types; the Dentelles de Montmirail for hiking, the Mont Ventoux for cycling. Canoeing on the river Sorgue.
