Les Bastides du Ventoux

In the heart of Provence, 20 km from Avignon and 4 km from Carpentras, here's our little Provencal bastide, salmon-pink with green shutters. The villa, on one level and air-conditioned, very pleasant, cool and comfortable, is located in a quiet residence made up of around sixty villas, all different. A beautiful swimming pool (160 m2), open from 15 May to 30 September, is reserved for residents. A magnificent terrace in exotic wood was created in 2020; shaded and overlooked by a wrought-iron pergola with cascading wisteria and jasmine. It overlooks the large, beautiful flower garden. The garden is fully enclosed. There is a barbecue area (Weber barbecue and plancha), teak garden furniture (a large table and 6 chairs), 4 garden beds, a hammock, 4 deckchairs and a parasol. Outdoor games (turnball, badminton net, mikados, petanque balls). Lovingly furnished, most of the furniture is second-hand. The dining room is spacious and bright, with a large table that seats 6, pretty sideboards and a library. The living room is cosy and offers two large comfortable sofas, a flat-screen TV (TNT channels, Netflix), Wi-Fi and a landline telephone. The beautiful Provençal kitchen is fully equipped: fridge with freezer compartment, washing machine, dishwasher, oven, microwave, ceramic hob, electric coffee machine and kettle, Dolce Gusto, toaster, Teppanyaki griddle and electric fondue set, etc. The bathroom has a large walk-in shower (2019), a pretty teak cabinet with a stone washbasin, a storage cupboard and the WC. The spacious and romantic "African" bedroom has a wrought iron bed for 2 (160x200) and a large dressing area (wardrobe, shelves, drawers); and the "Lavender" bedroom has solid, comfortable bunk beds (90x200), as well as a 3rd bed, a pretty chest of drawers and cupboards (wardrobe and drawers). The mattresses are all of excellent quality. Umbrella bed and high chair for baby. A private parking space is also reserved for you, just in front of the house. Loriol is a peaceful, typically Provençal village, with its fountain, little church, bakery and pizzeria, bar-tabac and boules players, nestling in the heart of the Comtat Venaissin, famous for its vineyards (Châteauneuf du Pape, Vacqueyras, Gigondas). The region is magnificent and full of great places to visit. The sea is 100 km away. It's also a cyclist's paradise, with the Via Venaissia running through the village and Mont Ventoux nearby for the brave!
