The house
Our in 2015 completely renovated holiday home Le Vieux Chêne with a fantastic view on the Mont Ventoux. has an area of 120 m2 on a private property of 5 ha with its own entrance. At our cottage you have a lot of privacy. During the renovation we have preserved the authentic atmosphere but we have also provided the gîte with the modern facilities.
The house has 3 bedrooms, each with two beds of 90X200 cm which can be made up together or separately. There are two bathrooms, each with a walk-in shower, a washbasin and a toilet. In the central corridor there is a separate toilet. The house has a well-equipped kitchen and a second kitchen by the pool.
At the pool, the kitchen is also equipped with a fridge and a dishwasher, just like the kitchen in the house.
By the pool is an outdoor shower and there is a room to change clothes. This room also has a toilet.
By the pool is also a griddle.
Heating of the pool is optional.

The house has several terraces, suitable for different weather types. There is even a covered terrace for outdoor dining.

We are Daan & Elvire Van Dijkman. We came to live and work in Provence in 1997 at our Provencal wine farm Domaine de Marotte in Carpentras. We would like to share our passion for the Provence and our wine company with you and introduce you to this - in our opinion and that of many others - most beautiful region of France. Therefore we welcome you in our cottage Le Vieux Chêne!
We also invite our guests from Le Vieux Chêne to come and visit the Domaine de Marotte for a tour and/or a tasting. We also organise pick-nicks in the vineyard.

Le Vieux Chêne is located on a slope with the poetic name Des Anges. From here, you have a fantastic view of Le Geant du Vaucluse, better known as the Mont Ventoux. But there is also much more to see, such as the valley of the Comtat Venaissin, the charming village of Mormoiron with its characteristic old church, forests, vineyards and olive groves, so you can enjoy your well-earned rest surrounded by beautiful Provençal nature.

As passionate owners and winemakers of Domaine de Marotte, we would like to welcome you to our domaine for a tour and/or a tasting of our wines. There is also a possibility to come and have a picnic in the vineyard.
Activities
Our gîte le vieux Chêne is situated at the foot of the Mont-Ventoux near the village of Mormoiron. Near the village is a swimming lake with a real beach, there is also a tree climbing park. Furthermore, our cottage is located just outside the village on several hiking, riding and cycling paths. There are many possibilities for all levels. In the winter you can ski and gelanglauf on the Mont-Ventoux.
