The house
Villa Olivea is an attractive detached house with a large garden with cypresses and oleanders, situated in an olive grove. The large private area (3000m2) around the house and the breathtaking views give you a feeling of peace and privacy.
Around the house and spacious swimming pool (9x4m) is everywhere enough space to sit and enjoy the view. On our private grounds there is also a petanque court where you can play a game of jeux de boules.
The house is situated 1,5 km from Puymeras, a cute little village and about 5 km from Vaison la Romaine, a lively town with all the facilities you need.
About the house
This detached holiday villa of 100 m2 is on one level and offers all comfort for 6 persons. The house has 3 bedrooms: with beds of 160x200 m of which in one room the beds can be disconnected to make 2 single beds. From each bedroom there is a beautiful view of the garden and surroundings. There are two bathrooms, one of which is separate. The kitchen is new and fully equipped with an induction hob, extractor fan, oven, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. /Adjacent to the kitchen there is a nice studio, where you can relax on cooler days in the sitting area, with a beautiful view of the garden and terrace in front of the house. In the living room there is a flat screen satellite TV with all Dutch channels. There is direct access from the kitchen and the living room to the covered terrace with a luxury Weber outdoor kitchen. The attractive seating areas in the garden and around the swimming pool make the villa attractive and comfortable. You have access to several parking spaces on your own private property.

The house is situated in a hilly landscape between the vineyards. From the house you can walk straight into the vineyards for beautiful walks. From the garden you have a view of the Mont Ventoux. Every evening you can enjoy a spectacular sunset.

Villa Olivea is situated in the middle of the numerous vineyards of the area. The region is known for its many wine cellars and famous Cotes du Rhone wines.
You are also in the area of the famous Olives de Nyons, the typical black olives with their distinctive taste. The oil of this olive is known for its special quality and is very popular among culinary gourmets.
The region has numerous restaurants and typical cafés. In Puymeras, you will find a cosy eatery called "Les Barry's" and the more chic "Le Girocedre".
You will also find a bakery in the village.
Activities
Directly around the house are vineyards where you can make beautiful walks. At 1,5 km lies the village of Puyméras, where you will find a nice pub with a terrace, a bakery and a renowned restaurant. The area is also very suitable for cycling. Every cycling enthusiast can indulge himself here with beautiful cycling routes at every level. For the more practiced sportive cyclist, the Mont Ventoux is the ultimate challenge.
There are also beautiful walks to be made in the area. You can cool down in the various brooks in the area.
For mountain climbers, there are good possibilities in Buis-les-Baronies.
In Vaison-la-Romaine, you can find remains of the old Roman civilisation. In the old part of the city, you can find many cosy restaurants. The Provencal market on Tuesday is one of the largest in the area and definitely worth a visit.
Nyons is an idyllic town with many cosy shops. This is also the heart of the cultivation of the Olives de Nyons, and here is also the museum about the olive culture.
A visit to Avignon, Aix en Provence, Nimes or Orange is also a possibility. These places can be reached within an hour's drive.

Dit is een heerlijk plekje om neer te strijken en te ontstressen! Het huis is bijzonder smaakvol ingericht en is heel ruim voorzien van alles wat je maar nodig zou kunnen hebben (staat niet allemaal op de site maar er is écht aan alles gedacht: droogrek binnen en buiten,
haardroger, wasmachine, plateaus, ovenschotels...) we werden verwelkomd m flesje wijn en olijfolie en eerste attributen waren aanwezig zoals tablets vr de vaat, dreft, pads vr koffie enz. Het aardewerk is ronduit prachtig en zeer royaal voorzien zó dat je zeker niet hoeft af te wassen tussenin. Echt een topper. De twee badkamers en apart toilet zijn een pluspunt en de buiten keuken is grandioos en opnieuw van de beste kwaliteit (weber gas bbq). Er zijn verschillende terrassen zodat je naargelang de zon telkens zalig in de schaduw kan vertoeven. De topper was het ontbijt aan de eikenboom of de zonsondergang ( terras met druivelaar is nog in groei en hebben de tafel aan de eikenboom gezet) maar top of the bill is het zwembad: .Adembenemend zicht, helder ZOUT water, heerlijke lounge zetels en ruime parasols en dit in alle privacy. Eigenaars zijn ook heel vriendelijk en steeds bereikbaar. Ik ben een Provence liefhebben maar dit is veruit het beste dat we hebben gehad! Dikke proficiat Elise en Hil!!
