The house
Rose 2 is a luxurious and comfortable 2-3 person flat with a balcony with magnificent views of the Vercors. You can sit/eat outside on the balcony, on the back terrace or in the large garden, where there is a special seating area for guests of Rose 2.
Furnishings: living room with tiled floor, cosy sitting area with sofa bed, Satellite TV (all NL channels) and DVD, French door to balcony, nice compact kitchen with induction hob, fridge with freezer, kettle, oven and microwave, toaster, Senseo and regular coffee machine. Separate spacious bedroom with lovely bed: double box spring 2 x 90 x 2.00. Wifi in all rooms. Luxurious spacious bathroom with shower.

Rose 2 is located in the valley at the foot of the Vercors mountain range and nature park, just over 1 km from Châtillon en Diois. You can get fresh croissants from the local bakery in the morning. The house has a large garden / grounds (18,000 m2) with a large heated swimming pool, sunbathing area, seats, communal BBQ area, playground and football field. The garden is on the Bez River with private beaches and small pools in the river.
In Châtillon en Diois you will find shops, post office and restaurants. The local tourist office organises festivals, wine tastings, concerts and other cultural events throughout the season. In the immediate vicinity you will find vineyards, colourful lavender and sunflower fields. Châtillon is situated between the mountains of the Vercors and is the starting point of many walking and cycling routes.

Restaurants, food & wine
In Chatillon en Diois, 1.5 km away, you will find six restaurants offering a wide selection of regional specialities. You can go to them for a simple moules-frites meal or a pizza, but also for a sumptuous five-course dinner with wine pairing. They use many local products such as walnuts, the special goat's cheese Picodon, Ravioles du Diois, Pintadeau (guinea fowl). At all restaurants you can eat outside on the terrace. Restaurant Le Caveau stands out because of its location: eating outside on an attractively lit terrace under a centuries-old chestnut tree. Le Mairie in the centre of the village is also a lovely place for an outdoor meal. Le Mairie has a lovely terrace on the central village square next to a characteristic fountain and a large plane tree.

1,5 km - Chatillon en Diois - nice market every Friday.
13 km - Die - every Wednesday and Saturday markets with local and organic products.
60 km - Nyons - every Thursday large Provencal market
Many local wines of which "Clairette de Die" a sparkling white wine is the most famous. In the immediate vicinity you can taste many wines at the various caves. Châtillon is the highest situated (500m) wine region with an AOC nomination and is known for its excellent white wines and rosés.

Further remarks
The beautiful surroundings invite to many activities. However, during the hot summer days, the house, the grounds and the river also offer every opportunity for lazing around, swimming and sunbathing. Overcompleet vakantiehuis, met op warme dagen verkoeling in het zwembad en op koude dagen een heerlijke kachel en zelfs vloerverwarming. Een prachtige omgeving voor wandelen en/of fietsen! Race, gravel of MTB, overal waar je gaat vind je paden! Op steenworp afstand van het sfeervolle dorpje Chatillon, waar je iedere ochtend heerlijk vers brood kan halen. Agnes en Gerard maken je goed wegwijs en gaven ons het gevoel dat we volledig ons eigen gang konden gaan. Heerlijk ontspannen tijd gehad (met onze baby van 8 maanden). Een aanrader!

Het prachtige uitzicht niet vergeten!

Rose 1 is een heerlijke plek waar je tot rust kan komen. Rose 1 is van alle comfort voorzien en ook goed schoon. Zwembad erbij is ook goed. Het terrein is ligt net buiten het dorp en geeft daardoor extra rust. Prima vakantie hier gehad. een echte aanrader!
