The "Pays de Dieulefit" is a beautiful part of the Drôme Provencale. Le Poêt Laval is located on a slope in the beautiful valley of the little river "Jabron" and has a mild microclimate. The house is completely free with complete privacy; on a southern slope and surrounded by the garden that blends nicely into the landscape. The swimming pool (10x5m) is nicely sheltered, just below the house. The pool is 1.20m - 2.20m deep.
Baker and small supermarket in the medieval village of Le Poêt Laval at 1 km; the town of Dieulefit, at 4 km, has all facilities, a selection of shops, many pottery workshops and a nice market on Friday. The larger town of Montélimar is 20 km away.
Accommodation
The gite is a beautiful old Provencal farmhouse. This house has a living room, dining kitchen and music room with a double bed a bathroom with shower, toilet, washbasin and washing machine. Upstairs two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with 4 beds.
The whole is tastefully decorated. A real Provencal house.
The dining kitchen has a gas hob and electric oven, fridge, dishwasher and microwave.
Outside, in front of the house, is a large covered terrace, with a fireplace, for spending summer evenings outside. Below the house is a large terrace. Next to it is the swimming pool, all set in 2 hectares of land.
Linen (sheets, tea towels) is provided, towels are not.

Le Poêt Laval is a wonderful starting point for trips to one of the many beautiful villages and towns of the Drôme and Vaucluse, to one of the nice weekly markets or for just a trip through the beautiful countryside of the Drôme.
Culinary and wine:
There are many restaurants in the area, from a simple café to several stars, with plenty of choice. Delicious regional menus. All the famous wine regions of the Cotes-du-Rhône are within easy reach: Tricastin, Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Die, Hermitage, Gigondas etc. Gourmets and wine lovers alike will be in their element in Drôme!
The swimming pool can be used from about May to about October, depending on the weather.

Schitterend provenciaals huis in het prachtige heuvellandschap van la Drome. Al meerdere jaren het voorrecht gehad om terug te mogen komen op deze geweldige locatie. Het huis is van alles voorzien, voldoende keukengerei, schone bedden, sanitaire voorzieningen en uiteraard een heerlijk schoon zwembad met een adembenemend uitzicht.
Niet alleen het huis, maar ook zeker de omgeving biedt veel mogelijkheden voor een heerlijke wandel/wijn/culinaire vakantie in Zuid Frankrijk. Er zijn voldoende traditionele Franse restaurants en schitterende wandel/fietsroutes (vanwege het heuvellandschap kunnen deze best pittig zijn).
Al met al een heerlijk huis voor een eerlijke prijs, zeker een aanrader!

Henk de eigenaar is een super gastheer en heeft een prachtig huis op een uitstekende locatie. In de omgeving is veel te doen en Henk kan hier uiteraard verschillende activiteiten aanbevelen. Wij komen hier jaarlijks graag terug worden keer op keer warmhartig ontvangen! Tot volgend jaar Henk!

Prachtig gelegen Frans huis met overtreffende tuin, veel hoeken om ieder moment uit de wind zonnig te zitten. Gezellige, antieke inrichting. We hadden veel langer willen blijven. Verwarming ruim aanwezig. Goede herinnering aan t contact met de eigenaar!

Saturday is changeover day. Pets by arrangement. Linen and blankets are included, please bring your own towels and bath towels.
The pool can be used from about 1 May to about 1 October, depending on the weather.
