The house
Beautiful four-person chalet, built in Savoyard style. The chalet has been completely renovated from the inside in 2008/2009, into a beautiful, comfortable and luxurious chalet. The chalet is located in a small chaletpark at 150 m distance from the village centre of Vallandry and the ski lift/ski slope. It has a perfect sunny location and a view on the Tarentaise valley, the Mont Blanc and the Bellecôte glacier.
You enter the chalet on the top floor through the hall with toilet and wardrobe with ski boot rack. Then you enter the living room with open kitchen. The living room has a fireplace and doors to the balcony with a beautiful view. There is a television with satellite receiver, Canal Plus with many Dutch channels, and a DVD player. The luxury kitchen is equipped with an oven/microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and induction cooker.
The stairs lead to the lower floor. There is a large bathroom with bath and shower, sink, toilet and a washer / dryer combination. Furthermore, there are two spacious bedrooms with four single beds and enough cupboard space. The beds can be combined to a double bed. Attached to one of the bedrooms is a second bathroom with a washbasin and shower.
All rooms have floor heating and radiators. Free wireless internet (WiFi) is available in the chalet.
The chalet has a very spacious terrace where you can enjoy the sun. On the side of the chalet is a closed ski locker to store your skis.

Vallandry is located in the heart of Savoie at an altitude of 1600 metres, and is the centre of one of the largest interconnected ski areas in Europe, the Paradiski ski area, with a total of 425 km of slopes. It is located at the edge of the National Park La Vanoise, a magnificent 61,000 ha nature reserve, the first National Park of France.
Vallandry is a cosy mountain village with shops, restaurants, bars and a cinema, where the traditional construction and small scale of the village still guarantees a real village atmosphere.
Vallandry is about 15 km from the lively town Bourg-St-Maurice. Here you will find many shops, restaurants and large supermarkets. Both in summer and in winter there is a wide variety of sporting possibilities and trips. Please note that in the early and late season the shops and restaurants may not be open.
Vallandry is easily accessible by car or train. In the winter season the Ski-Thalys stops in Landry, which means only a 30 minute transfer to Vallandry.

Winter
In winter, Vallandry is one of the world's top three skiing areas.
Since 2003, the La Vanoise Express gondola has linked the La Plagne and Les Arcs ski resorts. This fast gondola covers a length of almost 2 km across the valley in 4 minutes. Thus, a true mega area has been created under the name Paradiski, with something for everyone on the 425 km of slopes. With the Aiguille Rouge and the Bellecôte, the area has 2 glaciers. The ski area lies between 1250 and 3250 metres. With two peaks above 3000 metres and 80% of the 240 descents above 2000 metres, snow is practically guaranteed. Vallandry itself lies below the tree line. You can ski back to the village via beautiful snowy forest paths. Vallandry is also a particularly suitable ski resort for families with children.
But there is more to do in winter than just skiing; how about cross-country skiing or a dog sled ride? You can also go snowshoeing, paragliding or ice wall climbing.
Summer
Vallandry is a great holiday resort not only in winter but also in summer. Vallandry is situated on the edge of the National Park La Vanoise, the oldest National Park of France. Here you can enjoy all the beauty that the mountains have to offer: beautiful views, lovely mountain lakes or perhaps catch a glimpse of a steenbok or an eagle.
In and around the chalet you can relax, but you can also be active by doing all kinds of activities and mountain sports. Like hiking, mountain biking, paragliding, horseback riding, swimming, rafting, tennis and golf.
In the surroundings, you can visit all kinds of nice villages and cities. Bourg-St-Maurice, Aime, Albertville, Tignes with the large reservoir Lac du Chevril and Beaufort, where the famous cheese comes from, are definitely worth a visit.
If you want to drive a bit further, you can go to Chambéry, with a very beautiful old centre, or to Annecy, with the beautiful lake and the lovely centre of the old town.
Via the Col de Petit St Bernard, you can go to Italy, where you can visit Aosta.
In the village itself, you can visit the goat farm, Bergerie de Rey, or you can visit the lead and silver mines in Pont Baudin, Palais de la Mine.
