Take a break in this charming, comfortable and recently renovated gîte and discover the peaceful life of the small mountain with its wonderful landscapes, in the immediate vicinity of the Vouglans lake (2km) and its nautical activities.
This completely renovated stone house of 120m² is situated in a small sunny hamlet of 5 houses. On the ground floor, living room with decorative bread oven; lounge with wood burner; fitted kitchen; storeroom and wc.
On the first floor, a bedroom with a double bed 140x200, a bedroom with 2 bunk beds and 1 single bed, bathroom with toilet.
Garden furniture and barbecue are waiting for you outside.

This detached stone house of 120m² is situated in a very quiet and sunny hamlet. On the ground floor there is a living room with a decorative bread oven, a sitting room with a wood burning stove, a flat screen TV, a fitted kitchen, a storeroom and a toilet.

The Vouglans lake is accessible on foot for the experienced walkers (2km) by a little frequented path, will enchant you for its wild side and its preserved nature. Those with very young children or who prefer the sandy beach, water-skiing or renting a canoe will only have to travel 7km to reach the water sports base or the beach at Bellecin. There, you can also go down the 2.5km of the Pèle stream, which is always fun whether or not there is any water.
A must for those who love sensations: the via ferrata of Regardoir, in Moirans, 20km, which can be done from the age of 8! For hikers, join the GR du Tour du Lac which passes through the hamlet or go down to the lake to see the monumental porch of the Chartreuse de Vaucluse, the remains of which are engulfed in the lake.

Wij hebben een mooie zonnige week van je gite gebruik mogen maken. Grote gite met haard en genoeg slaapkamers voor het hele gezin. We hebben een aantal dagen met de fiets rond getoerd, vaak rond het stuwmeer. Een aantal strandjes geven toegang tot het opaal blaauwe water. Het bos naast het huisje heeft een pas naar een mooie waterval. Zorg er in het najaar wel voor dat je een lange broek en insekten spray meeneem. We hebben tijdens ons verblijf, op de slaapkamer, een muskietenhoor in het kozijn geplaatst, dan kun je lekker met het raam open slapen en naar de koeien en vogels (uilen) luisteren.

Fijn huis, van alle gemakken voorzien. Mooi uitzicht op de bergen en indrukwekkende wolkenluchten. Fijn zwemstrandje (stenen) op 2 km wandelen (wel steil omhoog/omlaag). Mooie wandelingen in de buurt. Beheerster spreekt alleen Frans.

Nous avons passé une semaine très agréable. Nous étions 2 adultes et 2 enfants (7 ans et 1 an). La maison est bien agencée, spacieuse, assez fraîche en cas de grosses chaleurs. Les espaces de rangement (buanderie) sont spacieux, nous avons même pu y entreposer nos vélos. Il y a un autre gîte visible depuis le jardin (mais qui était vide lors de notre séjour), une maison sur la droite et une autre maison à l'arrière du gîte. Malgré cela, on se sent seul au monde! L'extérieur est aménagé de façon à garder l'intimité des hôtes, sans sacrifier pour autant la vue sur le paysage. L'équipement de la maison est complet (lave-linge, four, barbecue…), fonctionnel et propre. Les enfants étaient ravis d'y trouver jouets et livres. Pour aller faire les courses, il faut se rendre à Orgelet (15 minutes en voiture). Pour le lac (baignades surveillées), quelques minutes de voiture suffisent. Le lac est absolument magnifique et, lors de notre séjour, la température de l'eau était de 26 degrés! La région offre de nombreuses possibilités de visites et de balades: cascades du Hérisson, Saint-Claude, Musée du jouet (génial!), balade sur le lac en bateau, … Nous avons un goût de trop peu et nous espérons pouvoir revenir dans cette belle région une prochaine fois. Petite mention spéciale pour la dame qui était responsable de notre accueil (la propriétaire n'habitant pas sur place): super sympa et souriante ;-)
Restaurants, food & wine
The Jura is a region rich in flavours and gourmets are not mistaken: Jura wines are typical and some are unmissable, such as vin jaune or vin de paille. They are best enjoyed with Comté cheese or Morbier cheese, which you will have bought in a Comté cheese dairy, an authentic local cheese factory. In the surrounding restaurants, you will be tempted by chicken with crayfish and yellow wine, a Mont d'Or fondue or a Jura potée with Morteau sausage...
Activities
The lake is the main attraction of the house as it is only 2km away and can be reached on foot via a private road leading to the meadows along the lake which are not very busy. For those who prefer the sandy beach, water skiing or canoeing, it is only 7km to the Bellecin water sports centre. There you can also take a 2.5km walk down the bed of the Pèle stream which flows into the lake, which is always fun whether there is any water or not. For hikers, join the GR du Tour du Lac which passes through Chavia or other boxwood paths or go down to the lake to see the remains of the Chartreuse de Vaucluse, whose remains are sunk in the lake, or go to Moirans to do the Via Ferrat: guaranteed thrills!
Less than 3/4 of an hour away by car, you can visit the famous Comté cheese factories, the Ledoux salt works, or visit the toy museum in Moirans en Montagne, take a look at the Présilly fortress in Orgelet, walk through the streets of the small Comtois town of Orgelet, visit a cellar to taste the famous Jura wines (vin Jaune and vin de Paille in particular), so many places to discover.
the lake is accessible at 2km, for that, go to the end of the tarred road on 1km opposite Onoz, then to the carpark, straight ahead, go down the way on 1km again. At 150m, go past the barrier on the left (private family land: no problem!) and continue downhill to the meadow. Allow 20 minutes from the car park. Shoes to get into the water are recommended: rocks and slope are a must. If scouts are present, please mention to them that you are our guests: they are not allowed to let people settle down...except our guests from Chavia!
DETAILS :
-The monumental porch of the Chartreuse de Vaucluse, a private monument belonging to the family, can be reached on foot by walking down the same path
located at the end of the tarmac car park on the way to the lake. After 1 km, you will see it on your right. - or go down the river bed of La Pèle: departure from the same car park, on the right as you arrive from the hamlet, a narrow path widening afterwards will lead you there. Follow the main path for about 1 km before arriving at a small bridge. Go down the river to the left; you will cross several waterfalls, the largest of which you will have to go around on the left: hang on to the box trees which will guide you. Children will love it. Allow 3 - 4 hours round trip from the car park. Not very slippery. Return by the same path.
