The house
This attractive farmhouse is located in the south-eastern part of the Morvan, which is characterised by forests, hills, rushing streams alternated with meadows and panoramic views. It is a detached fermette from around 1850, restored in style. The fermette is located in the countryside with a beautiful view to the south on the wooded hills of the Morvan. It has 2 "front doors" but is only rented as one holiday home. Les Doridots is located 7 km from Chateau-Chinon where all amenities are available. In the village of Arleuf (2 km) there is a bakery, post office, supermarket and a café/restaurant.
- The house has a spacious, tastefully furnished living room with a sitting area, dining area and an open kitchen.
- The living room has two wood-burning stoves.
- There is no TV but there is a wireless internet connection with Wifi.
- The house has an open kitchen with a cooker, oven/microwave and a dishwasher.
- Downstairs is a bathroom with shower, sink and washing machine. There is a separate toilet.
- In 1 of the caves there is a tumble dryer.
- There are two tastefully decorated bedrooms. In one bedroom there is a double bed (2 mattresses of 0.90 x2.00m with one duvet) and a cot, in the other room there are two single beds (0.90x2.00m).
- Upstairs is a second bathroom with shower, bath and double washbasin. Separate toilet.
- Adjacent to the living room is a terrace with a cosy seating area and a beautiful view.
- The garden offers plenty of space and privacy to play, sunbathe and eat. There is a garden set, relax chairs and two mountain bikes available. There are also several games in the house.
- Next to the house you can park your car under the carport.
- The house has a septic tank so only eco products for cleaning / dishwashing etc. and 2-ply toilet paper are allowed.
- You are the only tenant. A part of the house (2 rooms and some caves) is private and therefore closed to the tenants.

Les Doridots is an ideal place to enjoy nature, relax and unwind. The area is ideal for hiking, cycling/mountain biking and horse riding. A hiking trail "Tour de Morvan" runs right past the house.
The charming historic town of Autun, with its famous cathedral, medieval ramparts, Roman theatre, etc., is easy to reach, as is Bibracte, the high Gallic settlement. The famous wine regions of Burgundy are also within easy reach.
You can swim in the Lac des Settons and the Lac de Pannecière.

The Morvan is a great place for hikers. There are many hiking trails. The local tourist offices have brochures on short and longer trips in the immediate area. Two well-known long-distance walking routes that run through the Morvan are the Grande Randonnée GR 13 and the 'Tour du Morvan'. The booklet "Le Morvan- balades à pieds" contains 30 hikes and 5 weekend hikes that are well worthwhile.
The hills of Burgundy are an ideal cycling area if you have at least some climbing ambition and/or an E-bike. For mountain bikes, there are more than 2,000 kilometres of cycle paths. The routes vary in distance from 6 to 48 kilometres. You can find more information at local tourist offices.
The Morvan offers plenty of opportunities to get out into nature. Whether observing birds, enjoying flora, amphibians, mosses, mushrooms or stars. Every season has its charm.

Wat een heerlijk vakantiehuis is dit. We waren op slag verliefd eigenlijk. Prachtige locatie aan rustig weggetje. Fijne tuin, balkon om ‘s ochtends heerlijk te ontbijten. Het huis zelf is zeer smaakvol ingericht en er ontbreekt ons niets. Lekkere fles wijn als welkom. Alles is lekker schoon, horren voor de ramen in de slaapkamer, ideaal. Kortom wij vinden dit huis een echte aanrader. Rianne en Hans hartelijk bedankt.

Wat hebben wij genoten van een week in deze sfeervolle fermette! Zo Frans, authentiek en á la campagne…..stilte, vogeltjes, veel groen, luieren op de vele schaduw-en zonplekjes in de grote tuin. (Helaas ontdekten we de hangmat pas toen we weggingen. Voor de volgende keer! )
Heerlijk, comfortabel huis, goede bedden, fijne badkamer, prima keuken met volledige inrichting en heel schoon!

We hebben genoten van onze vakantie in les Doridots! Een sfeervol huis en prachtige ruime tuin, met op elk moment zon en schaduw. Een heerlijk vakantiehuis midden in een natuurgebied, met natuurgeluiden en stilte om ons heen. Ook de omgeving is de moeite waard; we hebben regelmatig verkoeling gezocht in Lac de Settons en Lac de Pannecière, gewandeld, Bibracte en de waterval van Gouloux bezocht. De steden Dijon en Beaune zijn ook de moeite waard. Kortom, veel gezien en gedaan maar zeker ook heerlijk uitgerust!

The famous wine regions of Burgundy are within easy reach. On the route from Baune to Les Doridots, you will see many beautiful vineyards pass you by. In several places, you can taste wine in the caves and, of course, buy it.
There are many restaurants in the region that vary from very simple with the cuisine Morvandaise to giants for the real culi "s.
The area has several (weekly) markets. Very nice are those of Autun and Moulins-Engilbert.

- We rent this house from Saturday to Saturday from April to mid-November.
