The house
Our six-person cottage (we also have a double one) is located behind (and far from) our house. The entrance is on the path that leads to the stream and the forest (see the photo). So if you want, you can go right away. The gîte is also situated two kilometres from the departmental road (D981) and that guarantees a very quiet and peaceful holiday. Summers are lovely with temperatures around 28*C. The nights are dark, unless it's a full moon of course, so sleep is also beneficial.

The Sud-Morvan is hilly with forests and meadows alternating. So we live on a hill with a beautiful and wide view on all sides of the house: we see the sun rise in the morning and set in the evening. On the terrace of the gîte you can experience the setting sun until the very last moment.
From the gîte you can start cycling and walking tours, you don't need the car for that! The surroundings are characterised by a multitude of small villages, which are connected to each other with good footpaths and trails. With an inviting terrace at the end of the tour.

Een fijn huisje, mooi uitzicht. De verhuurders zijn heel vriendelijk

Heerlijk tot rust komen in een karakteristiek huisje waar alles wat je nodig hebt aanwezig is.
De vriendelijke eigenaars wonen er vlak naast en hebben kippen waar onze boxer “gek” op was. Het terrein is afgeschermd zodat de kippen en hond niet te amicaal met elkaar werden. Een heerlijke week doorgebracht in deze charmante gite. Een fenomenaal uitzicht naar alle kanten, wonderschone avondluchten die doen denken aan de Nooderlicht luchten, op één avond donkerblauwe slierten tussen de wolken. Een mooie rustige omgeving, bezienswaardig is Bribacte, het museum en de opgravingen die daar nog steeds plaatsvinden. Gert-jan en Hilde heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam, mede namens Annemariken nogmaals hartelijk dank voor deze mooie week!
Restaurants, food & wine
The Sud-Morvan is situated in the Burgundy region, so it is obvious from a culinary point of view what you can find there and that is completely correct!
There are several restaurants in the area where you can eat for a reasonable price: we do it ourselves regularly.
Lanty is situated between the vineyards of the Bourgogne and Loire wines, so always good wine at hand.
Activities
The surroundings are very rural: apart from meadows with curious Charolais cows, there are many roads and paths for walking and cycling. In the vicinity are also several GR-routes, so also for the experienced runners there are many possibilities. Hiking maps are available.
Gallo-Roman history can be found in many places, for example in Autun and Bibracte, and in the spiritual field there are a number of striking visits to be made, such as Cluny, Taizé and Vézelay. And then the culinary possibilities cannot be left unsaid. How could it be otherwise in Burgundy and between the Burgundy and Loire wine region? We therefore think that there is enough variety in the holiday activities.

It is a six-bed cottage, but there is a possibility for a seventh bed, which is under the stairs. That bed costs an extra €85 a week.
