The house
NEW in Onlay!!! Welcome to Gîte La Sarrée, located in Burgundy in the Morvan Regional Nature Park. You will stay with us in the grenier à foin ( hayloft) of the house.
A charming old farmhouse. Transformed into a comfortable gîte with its own entrance, you have a room with a sitting area with comfortable chairs. Kitchenette with 4# gas hob, microwave oven. All kitchen utensils, coffee machine, kettle. Dining table with chairs. Bed 1.60 x 2.00 m. Bathroom with spacious shower, washbasin and toilet. Outside a seating area. We are present in the adjoining house for any questions. in the large park-like garden with fruit and nut trees there are several seating areas. We have a natural large pond with fish and frogs. The water comes from the hills and runs towards the little river Dragne. Around us the white Charolais cows. And everywhere the most beautiful views, take the little roads in between. and suddenly another castle(s) looms up.

Located in the beautiful hilly Regional Natural Park The Morvan in Burgundy.
Our house and gîte is located just outside the village of Onlay. Which is easy to walk downhill.

Restaurants, food & wine
It is good food in the restaurants in the surrounding villages. And our own village also has a little restaurant L'Ambition. They have good (meat) dishes and tasty pizzas.
Definitely recommended.
The wine region of Beaune is a nice drive through the vineyards and caves to taste and buy wine. Immediately visit the beautiful city centre.
Activities
The surroundings are beautiful and ideal for hiking, cycling, mountain biking. Lakes and streams for cooling off and fishing. Nearby in 15 min the thermal baths and springs in Saint Honoré les Bains. Cities such as Autun, Beaune, Nevers are worth visiting for shopping, weekly markets and their historic town centres. Moulin Engilbert 8 km with supermarket, shops, bakery, butcher, bric-a-brac, cafes and restaurants. And worth seeing the village and the cattle market. Chateau Chinon 15 km. also with supermarkets, shops, cafés, restaurants. Throughout the year there are brocantes and vide-greniers (attic clearance) held everywhere, we have a list .These markets have been held since the Middle Ages, which you can also discover in Bibracte, the Gallic capital from Roman times on Mont Beuvray. 20 min drive. The summit of Mont Beuvray gives a mighty view over the Morvan. First the museum and then past the excavations give an interesting impression of that time.
