The house
Located in the heart of Burgundy, Morvan Regional Nature Park is a beautiful area where nature still abounds. The park is known for its vast forests, lakes, rivers and meadows. An area rich in natural and cultural heritage, many of which can still be discovered through hiking and cycling routes.
At the front of the house you will find the balcony. When you walk out the back door, you emerge onto the terrace. The terrace extends to a garden located to the side of the house.
On the ground floor
Here you will find the living room with wood-burning stove, sitting area, satellite TV, a dining area and stairs to the upper floor. The kitchen is equipped with modern appliances. There is an induction hob, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and fridge.On the ground floor there is also a toilet.
Upper floor
You have 2 bedrooms and a luxurious bathroom with 2nd toilet at your disposal. There is one bedroom with a double bed and one bedroom with two single beds. Heating is via electric heaters. The house is suitable for a maximum of 4 persons.

The house is in the most beautiful place in the Morvan, 3 to 5 km away from Lac des Settons and 10 km from Lac de Pannecière. The village of La Chaise, is located in the municipality of Planchez. If you are lucky you will see the cows passing by, moving from pasture to pasture under the guidance of local farmers. Always nice to see at such close quarters.
It is a paradise for hikers, the hiking route GR-13 runs across the village square, 10 metres from our house. But cyclists (mountenbikes) also have an official trail, which runs from the village to the lake and also to other beautiful places. There are as many as 3600 km of trails. So except for errands you don't need the car anymore, park your car and go into nature.

Restaurants, food & wine
There are several restaurants in the area, some of which are described in a folder in the house. Also plenty of shops with the culinary cities of Saulieu and Autun nearby. For wine, you can of course go in all directions; northwards the Chablis and eastwards all the well-known Burgundy wines such as Pommard, Meursault, Beaune etc. Here you can of course visit the cellars of many winegrowers and taste and buy their wines. On Wednesday and Friday mornings there is a market in Autun. From May onwards, there are several flea markets and local festivals.
You will find restaurant tips in a folder on the large table upon arrival.

Hiking
Walking from the house through one of the most beautiful regions of France, with no programme and no strings attached.
It is a walker's paradise. The famous hiking route GR-13 runs across the village square, 10 metres from our house. There are no less than 3600 km of trails. So except for shopping, you no longer need the car, park your car and go into nature.
Cycling/Mountain bike
Cyclists have an official trail that runs right through the forests to all kinds of beautiful places. If you love peace and nature and are not afraid of a few hills, you will have a great time in the Morvan. Dense forests and vast plains alternate, and the climbs are followed by panoramic views.
You will see rivers, lakes and an unprecedented wealth of plants and animals. Birds chatter in the trees and bushes, a red kite calls in the distance, white charollais cows stare dreamily at you.
Along the way, you will pick some blackberries and in a small hamlet you will find a restaurant serving a delicious lunch.
Wine/Culinary
There are several restaurants in the area, some of which are described in a folder in the house. There are also plenty of shops with the culinary cities of Saulieu and Autun nearby. The Morvan has many waterworks, including reservoirs such as Lac de Saint-Agnan and Lac des Settons. You can go pedal boating, take boat trips, fish or relax at one of the beaches.
Several rivers originate in the area such as the Yonne, Arroux and Cousin. In addition, you can book tours where you navigate the rivers by kayak.

Liability
During the stay, the tenant is liable for the house, its furnishings and all items belonging to the rented property.
Pets
Pets are only allowed in those properties where this is stated in the property description. If you wish to bring a pet, you must always indicate this when booking. If allowed, one pet is meant by default. If you wish to bring more than one pet, you must request it when booking and this must be confirmed by the owner. Please bring your own basket and possibly plaid. Pets are not allowed in bedrooms. In some cases, additional cleaning costs are charged if a pet comes along. Rental period
The rental period starts at 16.00 and ends on check-out at 10.00. Outside high season, it is usually possible to book a few days longer or shorter.
Cleaning
You will find the accommodation clean on arrival. We expect you to leave it clean when you leave.
