La Truchère is located in the south of Burgundy, at one of the most beautiful navigable rivers of France; the Seille, a tributary of the Saône.
The village is about 10 km from the Autoroute du Soleil, between Dijon and Lyon.

Restaurants, food & wine
In our village there are 3 restaurants within walking distance. Not far from La Truchère is the village of Chardonnay, where the famous wine originated. Culinary delights can be found in the many restaurants, including several with a Michelin star.
There are famous markets with all the cheeses, meats, vegetables, kitchen utensils and all kinds of onions and garlic one could wish for.
Activities
For the anglers: In the Seille, carps of 25 kg have been caught and our neighbour caught a catfish of 2.32 m with a weight of 76 kg a few years ago. There are rumours of catfish up to 2.5 metres and 100 kilos!
