The house
Dear guest, la Ferme des Reuils is rented to a maximum of 6 adults (plus possibly 4 children). Sometimes an exception can be made, but only in consultation with the landlord.
La Ferme des Reuils is an old French farmhouse. The house is located between the green hills of Burgundy, on a very quiet country road. The private grounds around the house cover about 9000 m2. It offers a spacious terrace with dining table for 10 people and several seating areas in the sun or shade. In the garden you will find a private swimming pool, swings, bbq and fantastic views over the surrounding fields, where Charolais cows graze. There are several outbuildings, including a cave, baking shed and wood storage.
On the ground floor is the living room with wood-burning stove. The spacious kitchen includes a dishwasher, combination oven and induction hob. From the kitchen, you enter the cosy dining room with wood-burning stove and dining table for 10. Next to the dining room is a bedroom with a double box-spring bed (160x200). Also on the ground floor is a simple bathroom with toilet, shower cabin and washing machine.
On the first floor you will find three large bedrooms. The first bedroom has a characteristic beamed ceiling and a double bed (box spring, 160x200). The second bedroom is very spacious and furnished with 4 single beds (90x200). The third bedroom has a double bed (box spring, 180x200). Furthermore, a bathroom with walk-in shower and washbasin, and a separate toilet.
La Ferme des Reuils has no TV connection or wifi. Mobile coverage inside varies per room, outside you can always find a place with coverage. The living room has a DVD player with screen.
The house is heated by two wood-burning stoves, supplemented by electric heating in the kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms. If you visit Les Reuils in early or late season, you might like to light a fire; the wood-burning stoves are easy to light and control. There is plenty of wood in stock.

The immediate surroundings of la Feme des Reuils are hilly and consist of fields with wooded banks, where Charolais cows graze.
The cities Cluny, Chalon sur Saône, Dijon and Beaune still have many historical buildings that remind of the rich life of Burgundy. The Abbey of Cluny, the Palais des Ducs in Dijon and the Hospices de Beaune, where the world-famous wine festival is held every year, are well worth a visit. The castles in Cormatin and Digoine are also worthwhile. In the area, there are numerous churches dating back to the 10th and 11th century.

Een heerlijke woning op een prachtige, rustige locatie met fantastisch uitzicht. Met het gezin een mooie week gehad. De woning is ruim genoeg om met 8 personen te verblijven. De keuken is ruim en voorzien van alle benodigdheden. Met warm weer geeft het zwembad een aangename verkoeling.
Restaurants, food & wine
Between Dijon and Beaune are the vineyards of the Côte D'or with villages that have wonderful names such as Nuits-St Georges, Gevrey-Chambertin, Chassagne-Montrachet and Vosne-Romanée. The vineyards around these villages produce fantastic wines and a drive between Dijon and Beaune on the N74 is highly recommended. Don't forget Clos de Vougeot in the village of the same name. Even closer to home are the vineyards of Genouilly and Montagny-les-Buxy, among others, each with a "cave" where you can taste wines.
In villages like Gourdon, Joncy, Buxy are good restaurants, more information you will find in the house.
Activities
La Ferme des Reuils is completely free, 10 minutes walk from the village of Mary. The attractive house and its own grounds are a wonderful place to unwind. Walking and cycling is possible directly from the house (although the road is steep for cyclists). In the house there are several routes and maps that lead you along vineyards, villages, fields and woods. The kitchen is well equipped and suitable for extensive cooking. There is a fixed, stone bbq and also the many caves in the area help to make it a Burgundian stay.
Children are welcome, the owner himself regularly has his grandchildren as guests at Les Reuils.

Groceries can be bought in Mary (grocery, limited opening), Joncy (10 minutes by car, a.o. bakery and supermarket) or Monceau- les-Mines (15 minutes, several large supermarkets like Leclerc).
Additional price info and offers
The set of towels consists of 1 large and 1 small towel pp. Bath towels to bring your own. Kitchen towels are provided.
There is a baby bed (cot) in the house, see photo. Bed linen for the cot (120x60) to be brought by yourself.
As for electricity consumption, 30 KW per day is included in the rental price. If you use more electricity, this will be deducted from the deposit.
N.B. If you make a booking for two or more weeks you will receive a € 50.00 discount on the second and third week.
