Domaine Saint Anges

Just south of the Morvan Regional Nature Park, the D680 winds from Autun to Le Creusot. South of Autun, at 'La Pissoire' is the turn-off to Saint Sernin du Bois and after three kilometres we are in front of the high gate with columns.
Another 100 metres to go and it looks like we are arriving at 'a small Gallic village'. A wall 'en piere',
another fence and several buildings surrounding the village square lined with shady trees:

-Gite Aladiah 8 people

Upon entering, the nostalgia is immediately striking. This cottage breathes history. The large kitchen, with wooden beams and unfinished walls are a relief for lovers of history. The cottage is decorated with attention to detail in brocante style. The sofas and chairs around the huge wood-burning stove in the large living room look inviting. Tonight we throw a few blocks of wood into the stove. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need in terms of crockery and appliances (electric hob, combi microwave, Senseo, kettle, fridge, dishwasher). The spiral staircase to the floor is generous, and when you get to the top your mouth falls open. A space under the beams with three large bedrooms, a spacious bathroom with bath, shower and toilet. The bedroom at the front has two single beds. The bedroom in the middle also has two single beds, and the large bedroom at the back has two single to double beds (1.40 wide).

The ground floor also has a toilet and a bedroom with 2 single beds at the front near the front door.

The spacious conservatory at the back of the house, can serve perfectly as a common dining area for 16-18 people. For group bookings for the whole estate, this house is fine as a central gathering place.

-Gite Omael 4 persons

A snug and cosy cottage overlooking both the courtyard of the Domaine and the surroundings and grassland. The cottage is decorated with attention to detail in brocante style. The seating around the wood-burning stove looks inviting. Tonight we throw a few blocks of wood into the stove. The kitchen is simple but equipped with everything you need in terms of crockery and appliances (gas cooker, microwave, Senseo, kettle, fridge, dishwasher). The two stairs to the first floor are narrow and quite steep, but upstairs is cosy in two separate bedrooms both with two single beds. Upstairs again that wonderful view. Shower and toilet are downstairs in one room.

-Gite Elemiah sleeps 2

A spacious double gite. The living room/kitchen has wooden walls, a brocante interior and a well-equipped kitchen with electric hob, dishwasher, fridge and combi-microwave. There is also a shower and toilet. The bedroom on the upper floor of this gite is really romantic. The two single beds are in a room which also has a bathtub on legs and columns with washbasins. There is also a cosy sitting area with lounge chairs, a separate shower and toilet.

-Gite Hahasiah 2 persons

A cosy and charmingly decorated 2-person studio/gite under the beams, which you reach via a wooden staircase to the 1st floor. There are three rooms under the sloping roof with skylights; a sitting room, a kitchen/dining room and a bedroom/bathroom. The bathroom has a glass freestanding shower cubicle, as well as a bathtub on legs, from which you look at the stars through the skylight. There is a double bed and the furnishings are functionally simple. There is an electric cooker, fridge, microwave, Senseo, kettle. The terrace can be accessed via the shared entrance with gite Menadel.

-Gite Menadel 2 persons

The sink is an attention-getter; what a particularly beautiful specimen. The spiral staircase to the floor is narrow, but when you get to the top your mouth falls open. A room under the beams equipped with two single beds, a lounge sofa and a daybed by the window with again that wonderful view. Shower and toilet are functional and simple.
