The house
This cosy, detached house from 1949 was renovated in 2022. The garden around the house is overgrown with tall bushes and offers the necessary privacy. With several seats in the garden, there is always a sunny or shady spot to choose from.
The spacious living room is tastefully decorated. The bedroom has a 2-person box-spring and plenty of closet space. The bathroom has a washbasin and walk-in shower; the toilet is in a separate room. The kitchen has a fridge, coffee machine, kettle, microwave, an airfryer and two electric burners for cooking.
The internet connection is fast and there is a smart TV. If you prefer 'old-fashioned' entertainment, there are boxes of board games waiting for you.
Any bikes you might bring can be locked in the shed.

Niets toe te voegen aan de loftuitingen van de eerdere gasten. Heerlijk huis en schaduwrijke tuin. Locatie is prima, mooie steden in de buurt. Dus in een woord aan te bevelen. En om er nog aan toe te voegen Sonja is een aangename gastvrouw.

We hebben een heerlijke week genoten in deze Gite. Een warm en hartelijk welkom van Sonja in haar fantastische huisje was het begin van onze vakantie. Hoewel het buiten 40gr was, zorgden de stenen muren voor lekkere koelte binnen. Leuke uitstapjes naar plaatsen in de omgeving gemaakt en fijn kunnen wandelen. Dank voor de goede zorgen Sonja. We hebben genoten.

Restaurants, food & wine
There are many restaurants in villages and towns in the area and on the banks of the Saône.
Wine lovers of Burgundy wines can indulge in the strip from Beaune to Macon. For Jura wines, visit the Château-Chalon and Lons-le-Saunier region
Activities
Saint-Vincent-en-Bresse is a small and quiet village. There is a delivery point for fresh bread and a bar-restaurant in the village, but within a 10-kilometre radius there are supermarkets and numerous restaurants.
A 5-minute walk away is Les Liaurats, a recreational area with a large (fishing) pond where you can spot frogs, otters and birds.
The area is ideal for cycling, hiking and golf. Would you rather be on the water? Then hire a canoe or boat to navigate the Seille.
The Bresse region is characterised by authentic farms, pretty villages and rolling countryside.
The closest town is Louhans (14km) with its arcades and famous Monday morning market. The cities of Chalon-sur-Saône and Tournus are about 20km away and Beaune and Mâcon can be reached within 45 minutes.
If you drive half an hour eastwards, you arrive in the Jura with beautiful places like Baume les Messieurs and Château-Chalon, both voted one of the most beautiful villages in France. Westwards you enter the wine region with numerous, characteristic wine villages such as Pommard, Givry, Buxy, Cluny and many others.
