The house
Maision La Chappele Bellevue is a place where you can socialise with family and friends and enjoy the beautiful view from the terrace. On the terrace you can enjoy the sun, a glass of wine, a good meal and at night a starry night. The house is recently fully renovated, spacious and comfortable. Located in the south-west of France. The gîte is on the edge of a small burg village of La Chapelle Salamard on the north side of the popular Vallée de la Vézère and near the Dordogne. It is 5 minutes from the regional village of Objat with a year-round Sunday market, three supermarkets, medical care, shops, a swimming pool, bars and restaurants. There are many beautiful villages to visit with restaurents and places to swim in the river.

Maison La Chapelle Bellevue is located in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, south-west France in the southern Corrèze department of the Limousin, next to the Dordogne.

Restaurants, food & wine
As part of the Limousin, the highly prized Limousin cow is also widely available here at the butcher, supermarket or restaurant. A good number of fine restaurants can be found in the neighbouring village and nearby. There is only very small-scale wine production in the region. The closest known regions are Bergerac and Cognac.
Activities
The house is located at the northern tip of la Vallée de la Vézère. There is a 5km hiking trail from the house through the lower valley. Not far from the house there are several places where you can swim in the river, walk through the forest and if you like day trips there is much more to discover in the dozens of beautiful villages and towns. There are companies nearby that organise canoeing, paddleboarding, cycling, balloon rides. There is a weekly Sunday market in the village across the bourg. Extensive brochure is available in the house.
Further remarks
The 3rd issue of 2024 of 'Living in France' devotes 11 pages to the Corrèze. Under the titles of 'The Corrèze sans touristes' and ' With us begins the south' with stories about places and events in this area, mainly the south-west of the Corrèze which also happens to include La Chapelle Bellevue. 'In the shadow of the Massif Central, Corrèeze lies undisturbed to be itself. Protected from the cold wind from the north, it feels more southern than the place on the map suggests. It's one of those regions where your pace automatically slows down.'
