La Corréze

Rural and recently renovated farmhouse located in beautiful Corrèze. The beautiful countryside of Corrèze is ideal for walkers, cyclists, families and sports enthusiasts Correze is located on the edge of the Dordogne. From here you can visit the most picturesque towns and villages and get to know the authentic French way of life.

The cottage was renovated in 2020 and everything is as good as new! Here you can enjoy the peace and quiet and experience what it is like to live in the countryside. The veranda is the place to enjoy, in the morning with a cup of coffee enjoying the birdsong and in the evening with a glass of wine enjoying on a beautiful starry sky.

There are several walking routes from the house where you can enjoy nature to the full. The cottage itself is cosy and bright with many windows with open views. The cottage has a wood-burning stove and plenty of wood is available in the adjoining barn for use.

The location is perfect, situated between Arnac Pompadour and Vigeois. Pompadour is the mecca for equestrian sport. The chateau with its stables and racecourse are beautiful and there is plenty organised. In the summer months there is a 'fete' every day in a surrounding village, a French tradition where people all bbq, dance and meet. At walking distance from our house is a management where one can go for outdoor rides with the horses but there is also a pony club for the children. In our village there is an excellent French restaurant 'Table de Troche' and a traditional bread shop. There are also many 'vide greniers' or flea markets organised in this region.

The garden is fenced and a lovely swimming pool is available. The cottage is located on a quiet country road.

Arnac Pompadour (10 minutes by car) is a busy and lively village where you can visit chateau de Pompadour and the famous horse race track. In Pompadour you will find supermarket, post office, shops. restaurants, swimming pool, tennis court, caterer, cafe, shops, vet, garage, petrol station, doctor and dentist etc.

The nearby villages are Arnac Pompadour (Chateau and racecourse) Uzerche (historic village), Vigeois (large swimming lake. fishing is also possible) , St Robert (historic village) , Segur Le Chateau (historic village).

Nearby cities are Brive and Limoges. The A20 is about 15 minutes away by car.
