The house
Holiday home La Filolie in Le Buisson-de-Cadouin in the Dordogne, Aquitaine, is a very luxurious traditional French holiday farmhouse with a private heated swimming pool, sauna and private tennis court.
The farmhouse has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a spacious covered terrace, kitchen and a spacious living room with all amenities
The house is suitable for up to 10 persons. There are two children's beds and chairs. Besides the swimming pool and the tennis court, there is also a table tennis table and a football goal.
The house is situated 150m from the road a little higher between the places Le Buisson and Cadouin (medieval place on the list of UNESCO). Directly from your property you can walk into the forest. With many walks etc. Property is completely fenced

The luxury holiday home (recently restored) has a surface area of 175m² and a covered terrace of 25m². The private pool is electrically heated (9* 4.5m guaranteed minimum 26°C with safety cover). Near the pool is a sauna. You have a private tennis court at your disposal. The farmhouse was built from the original stones of the château La Filolie, which stood here centuries ago. The total size of the property is about 12 hectares which also includes an original pigeonnier. The buildings are located 150 metres from the road, slightly elevated. The back of the property lies in the forest "forêt De La Bessède, where there are many walks ranging from 5 to 20 km. In the early morning, you will regularly be able to see game crossing the property. The whole property exudes silence and tranquillity.

Activities
La Filolie is situated exactly between the places Le Buisson and Cadouin about 2 km from the Dordogne River. The villages Belves, Monpazier, Limeuil (where the Dordogne and Vezere come together) Les Eyzies and Beaumont are at a distance of 5 to 15km. Cadouin with its historic abbey is 30 minutes walk through the forest.
Le Buisson (2 km) has a market every Friday and just about all the shops you need such as supermarket, bank, post office, cinema, several bakers and butchers, cafes and restaurants. It also has a railway station making it easy to travel to Sarlat (25Km), Bergerac (30km) and Bordeaux. There is canoeing, the 18-hole Lolivarie golf course is 8km away, and there are large supermarkets in Le Bugue and Siorac (approx. 9km).
Alles-sur-Dordogne(4 km) has a large riding school where horses can be ridden along the Dordogne.

De Dordogne blijft boeien, elk jaar weer. Dit jaar een nieuw onderkomen: La Filolie! Een uitgelezen plek om samen met kinderen, familie, vrienden van rust en ontspannende dingen te genieten. Het leek te mooi om waar te zijn wat we op internet konden vinden over La Filolie, maar het overtrof onze verwachtingen.Zo'n beetje alle voorwaarden worden vervuld: rust, ruimte, mild klimaat, heel veel bijzondere bezienswaardigheden in de buurt, Bakker op 3km, déchètterie vlakbij, vrijwel geen muggen, prima tennisbaan, prima tafeltennistafel met dito batjes, heerlijk zwembad, ruimte voor pétanque met geïnteresserde paarden op de achtergrond en last but not least heel vriendelijke ontvangst, meteen het gevoel "thuis" te komen en al na één dag het gevoel dat je al dagen vakantie hebt.
Voor de fanatiekelingen ook nog prima racefietsen en mountainbiken in de wijde omgeving, een heuse "eigen" bijzondere grot (Maxange)- moet je gezien hebben!
Met andere woorden: als het in de toekomst lukt om de (klein-) kinderen weer mee te krijgen staat "La Filolie"hoog op het lijstje.
Graag komen we hier terug. Wat een heerlijke plek!Reinier en Nelie van den Oever
