Activities

Le Manoir d'Amiel is situated just 10 minutes from the Unesco World Heritage Carcassonne Cité. From afar it looks like a fairy-tale castle, gleaming in sunlight during the day and beautifully illuminated at night – it could well have been the inspiration for some of the Disney films. Built originally by the Gauls, Romans, Visigoths, Moors and Franks, and then later used as one of the major strongholds for the Cathars. Make sure you don’t miss the stunning July 14th fireworks which are celebrated each year and attracted thousands of visitors each year.
