The house
La Tulipe in Baillestavy, is a detached house and is located in the upper village, with a beautiful view of the valley and surrounding mountains. Next to the house is a separate garage to store motorbikes and bicycles during your stay.
The sunny living room is equipped with a central heating stove and a comfortable couch. A smart TV connected to the internet with DVD player.
A varied bookcase in various languages and also children's books. Wifi is available.
A well-equipped kitchen. The large bathroom with walk-in shower and two sinks. In addition, a separate toilet.
There are two bedrooms: 1 bedroom with two boxspring beds (180 X 200) and 1 bedroom with two boxspring beds (180 X 200) These can be separated (090 X 200) or one to be covered. There is a possibility for an extra (child) bed. There is an option for a third bedroom.
Enjoying the garden, with a book on the terrace or eating on the large covered veranda with stunning views. Cooking outside can be done on the plancha.

A village with its old houses, steep slope and Roman bridge. The valley is a haven of peace with meadows and orchards bursting with thousands of flowers in spring. Along the village flows the Lentilla. It is a great place to cool down in the summer.

We hebben een heerlijke week doorgebracht in La Tulipe. Een adres met uiterst gastvrije eigenaars, die in een huis vlakbij de gîte wonen. Zij zorgden voor een warm welkom met verrassingen op tafel en een schat aan informatie. De gîte zelf biedt ook veel verrassingen, waarvan ik er enkele zal verklappen: goed, sfeervol en comfortabel ingericht, een schat aan boeken, een keuken waarin werkelijk niets ontbreekt, een fenomenaal uitzicht vanaf het balkon, een heerlijk schaduwrijk terras, uitgangspunt voor prachtige wandelingen, goede wifi maar heel belangrijk vooral ...... rust. En.......we verklappen natuurlijk niet alles. Rijd de bergweg op (wel eerst beneden boodschappen doen) en ga het zelf ervaren.

Het was een erg leuk huis en aardige verhuurders. De ligging is in het dorp maar daar merk je niks van omdat het dorp is gebouwd als een soort tribune; de huizen voor je liggen onder je.
We hebben heerlijk gewandeld in de omgeving. Wandelingen van 10km zo vanuit het huis.
Eten bij La Farga in het dorp is een belevenis. Als je van te voren reserveert koken ze, met veel plezier, speciaal, voor jou.
Restaurants, food & wine
There is a café with a small restaurant. On Wednesday and Saturday mornings there is a stall with regional products such as organic bread, cheese, meat, fresh vegetables and fruit. There is also fresh honey from Annie and eggs from Laurent for sale.
Isabelle and her husband Jean- Philippe make beautiful musical instruments and beautiful ceramic tableware.
Activities
Nature is still unspoilt here, the blue sky, the surroundings surrounded by all shades of green.
You can enjoy absolute silence. Ideal for fantastic nature walks or with a book by the river.
There are several beautiful short and long walking routes waiting for you at La Tulipe. For instance 3 easy walking routes around the village, or a walk of about 5 hours on the peaks around Baillestavy etc. A walking map along the river La Lentilla.
