The house
This cozy single-storey house is practically furnished and has a dining kitchen (suitable for 6 persons), a sitting room and a small conservatory. In the kitchen you will find a refrigerator, a microwave, a convection oven and a dishwasher. There are two bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The spacious bedroom has a double bed and offers space for a baby cot; the adjacent bathroom has a bath. The smaller bedroom contains two single beds. Both bedrooms have plenty of closet space. The house has a large terrace with a dining table, umbrella and deck chairs. A washing machine has been installed next to the shed. There is a rotary clothesline in the garden to dry the laundry. The garden can be closed with a gate and offers enough parking space for two cars.

La Lucilière is beautifully located in the French Vendée countryside near the picturesque village of Apremont. The detached house is situated on a quiet country road and is surrounded by a large enclosed garden from which you can enjoy a beautiful unobstructed view of the rolling farm landscape. Due to its location and the garden, there is plenty of peace, space and privacy. The immediate area is ideal for hiking, cycling and water sports. In addition, the house is a good base for visiting the many seaside resorts on the coast and further exploring the Vendée.

De afgelopen twee weken in dit fantastische vakantiehuis mogen verblijven. De rust bij het huis is erg prettig waar je heerlijk met een boek rustig kan lezen maar ook het grasveld ontleend zich voor activiteiten (badminton, kubb etc). In de nabije omgeving is er genoeg te doen, mooie fietstochten, prachtige steden aan de kust en een echte aanrader is het eiland Il d'yue. Ook het dorp Apremont regelt vaak leuke concerten bij het kasteel met een mooie lichtshow. Het huis is van alle gemakken voorzien! Daarnaast prettig contact met de gastvrouw, die ook leuke tips geeft qua markten en evenementen! Alle met al een fantastische plek om zowel te genieten van de rust als het bruisende van de steden.

Wat goed om te horen dat jullie een fijne vakantie hebben gehad en, ondanks het wat mindere weer, zo hebben kunnen genieten van het huis, de tuin en de omgeving.

Wij hebben de afgelopen weken genoten van dit fijne, nette en echt compleet ingerichte vakantieverblijf. Het goede bed (zelfs al heerlijk opgemaakt bij aankomst!) en de stilte maakte dat we steeds fris en uitgerust aan een nieuwe dag konden beginnen om de mooie natuur, bezienswaardigheden in de omgeving, musea, de kust, (deels op de fiets) te verkennen en te bekijken. Voor een dagje 'nietsdoen' is er bij La Lucilière een heerlijke vogelrijke tuin, met altijd wel ergens een lekker schaduwplekje voor rust.... Kortom een super vakantieplekje.

Het doet mij plezier om te horen dat jullie een fijne vakantie hebben gehad in La Lucilière en hebben genoten van het huis, de tuin en de omgeving.

Huisje is heerlijk rustig gelegen, alleen aanwonenden maken gebruik van de weg die erlangs loopt. In de grote tuin is genoeg privacy om lekker tot rust te komen en biedt een prettig uitzicht.
Beide slaapkamers hebben - heel fijn - een aangrenzende badkamer en de bedden slapen heerlijk! In de keuken tref je alles aan wat je nodig hebt en de woonkamer is knus ingericht.
Prima contact vooraf met de verhuurster en fijne ontvangst - in het Nederlands - door Selma, toch wel prettig als de Franse taal je niet zo makkelijk afgaat.

Restaurants, food & wine
In the center of Apremont you can find two nice restaurants where good meals are served. There is also a restaurant at the lake where you can eat and drink from the terrace overlooking the water. There is plenty of opportunity to enjoy French cuisine on the coast. Both in the center and on the boulevard of St. Gilles Croix de Vie there is a wide choice of nice terraces and cozy restaurants. In the larger and more sophisticated seaside resort of Les Sables d'Olonne, you will find many good fish restaurants, especially around the harbor, where you can have an extensive lunch and dinner. For cozy terraces and the best crêperies, you are at the right place on the boulevard. For smaller groceries you can go to the local bakery and the small supermarket in Apremont. In the village of Aizenay and on the coast there are plenty of large supermarkets where you can do extensive shopping.
Activities
In the immediate vicinity of the house there is plenty of opportunity for walking and cycling. Within cycling distance there is the recreational lake of Apremont where you can swim and all kinds of water sports activities are offered for young and old. At about 20 minutes by car you will find the beaches of St. Gilles and Les Sables where you can enjoy swimming, surfing and sailing. In terms of cultural activities, the medieval castle and water tower of Apremont are worth a visit and the city of Nantes (about an hour's drive) offers various sights such as the castle, the Musée d'Arts and Les Machines de l'Île. You can also enjoy shopping in this city. The historical theme park Puy du Fou is also highly recommended for young and old. A little further away, but also worthwhile, are the island of Le Noirmoutier (where beautiful cycling trips can be made) and the port city of La Rochelle.

Further remarks
The house and its surroundings are suitable for both (young) families and couples. In and around the house you will find privacy and tranquility, you can enjoy nature and the silence and there is plenty of space for activities such as walking and cycling. Do you need the hustle and bustle of the coast or the city and do you want to make cultural and culinary trips, there are plenty of options in the area that are easily accessible by car. Because the Vendée is so sparsely populated, you will not suffer from traffic jams and parking problems, even in high season.
