The house
This gîte offers exclusive luxury through a creative blend of modern and old styles. This large house is composed of three bedrooms and offers a real comfort. This lodge is next to a pigeon tower and offers a view on the hills. The house is an old building that has been renewed in an authentic style while keeping some old features. The interior design is modern, stylish and comfortable.
The house is exposed to the sun and is located in the middle of the terrain, 60 meters walking from the big heated pool.
The gîte has a surface area of 120m2, there is a garden and a sunny terrace in front of the living room.
Both offer unobstructed views and great privacy.
Composition: A spacious entrance with a wardrobe and toilet, a cozy living room with a fireplace and wood-burning stove. The large kitchen area is also elegantly furnished and fully equipped with, among other things, a dishwasher, oven and a large fridge.
1st floor: a spacious landing with a bathroom composed of a shower, a toilet and a double sink. A large master bedroom and two bedrooms each with two single beds. All rooms are located at the front of the house and offer a beautiful view.
Equipment: satellite TV, dishwasher, two wooden sun loungers, a wooden garden table with 6 chairs, a parasol and a Weber barbecue.

The picturesque scenery around Bredurière has plenty of possibilities for walking. Starting in Bredurière you can walk in to the woods all the way down to the river or you can take a lovely walk to the Lac du Marillet.
For the real enthusiasts there are a lot of possible routes available in the area. Some of these routes start in Mareuil sur Lay or Moutiers sur le lay.
Mareuil sur Lay is a lovely village on 2,5 km distance from the grounds. This is where you are able to do grocery shopping. There are 3 bakeries, an Intermarché, 2 stores of Vin de Mareuil, a pizzeria, a pharmacy and a gas station.
There is a great wine route that starts in Mareuil sur Lay and guides you through the wine fields and enables you to visit 9 local wineries. From the small biological wineries to the large wine castles.
There is also the possibility to get on a bicycle and follow one of the many cycling routes that the region has to offer. Château Bredurière rents out mountain bikes for € 5,-per day.
Canoeing on the river the Lay or the Lac du Marillet is also a possibility if you are looking for a fun activity. You can rent a canoe at Château Bredurière. You and the canoe will be taken to the location and picked up afterwards.
The canoes are for 3 people. Costs are € 30,- per canoe per half day. Costs are € 50,-per 2 canoes per half day.
Lucon is a lovely village with a small ancient centre and an extraordinary cathedral. At night the illuminated cathedral tower can be seen all the way from Château Bredurière. The lively centre of Lucon has several small boutiques and outdoor café’s around the town square. not far from the old centre are the larger stores, like the HyperU and the Supermarche.

Twice a week ,on sunday and thursday there will be the opportunity for all the guests to dine at various atmosperic locations, depending on the weather and the amount of guests.
So you can sit at the long table under the linden tree of the castle or at the old wooden tables in the authentic winery.
Since the 17th century, Château Bredurière has a vineyard of 65 hectares. In 1992, the last grape bushes on Bredurière were removed. In 2013, the grape bushes were planted back on the slope in front of the castle. The local and successful wine grower Fabien Murail makes beautiful Bredurière wines (± 10,000 bottles per year) with the white grapes Chenin and Chardonnay and the red grapes Merlot. In 2015, the first harvest of the Merlot and the Chenin grapes took place. Everything was then picked by hand and in February 2016 the first bottling took place. The red Merlot and the white Chenin are wines from Val du Loire, Vendèe wines which have the I.G.P. (Indication Géographique Protégée) and carry the name Château Bredurière.

Domaine de la Bredurière is a charming estate of 6ha. not far from the picturesque winetown Mareuil sur Lay and only a 30 minutes drive from the beautiful Atlantic coast and her sunny sandbeaches.
The estate has 3 atmospheric hotelrooms in the chateau , 3 luxiourious lodges and a comfortable gite. There is a large heated swimmingpool.
The Vendée has a pleasant climate with almost as much sunhours as Côte d’Azur. The historic buildings such as the dovecote,stables,dogkennel,holy spring and winery make the ancient history of this extraordinary place undeniable.
Domaine de la Bredurière is because of her “southern” appearance the ideal destination for a tranquil vacation for young and old.

The prices do not include the mandatory bedlinen/towelset of € 12,-p.p.p.week.
Extra person: € 85,- per week.
During low and mid-season the heatingcosts (electricity) will be charged.
The heated pool is open from may until the end of september.
Dogs are not allowed in the gîtes.
