Castellane

Accommodation :
Chalet has living room with dining area and sitting area. The kitchen is fully equipped with 4 ring electric cooker with extractor fan, microwave, coffee maker, fridge freezer. There is also a toastmaker and electric table barbecue. The fitted bathroom has a shower, toilet and washbasin. There are 2 bedrooms equipped with duvets and pillows (bring your own sheets and pillowcases), a covered terrace with garden furniture, a garden with deck chairs, parking for 2 cars. At the back of the chalet there is a terrace where you can enjoy the evening sun.
The living room has a TV with all channels (Dutch, Belgian, French, ...) and there is free Wifi. There are books and board games available. There is also a radio with CD player.
In each room there are electric radiators for the cool evenings in the early and late season.
Each window has shutters so that you can keep the heat out in summer. In the evening it cools down a bit because the chalet is situated at 900 m altitude. That way it is nice to sleep at night.

Location :
The chalet is very quietly situated, near the lake 'Lac de Castillon' and the impressive Gorges du Verdon and Lac de Saint Croix in residence 'Lac de Castillon'. At the residence you can enjoy a delicious aperitif, dinner, ice cream, ... in the Restaurant Lac du Castillon. You can also get pizza and fries there.
At the lake (10 minutes' walk) you can sunbathe and sail (boats can be rented).
At 3 km from the domain is a large supermarket with food and non-food items.

Castellane :
Lively town with nice shops and affordable restaurants and sunny terraces. The marketplace is under the plane trees where the locals play jeu de boules. On Wednesdays and Saturdays there are typical Provencal markets.

Sport and leisure :
On the domain there is a new outdoor swimming pool with separate heated children's pool, playground with slides, seesaw, swings... volleyball court, football field, table tennis, petanque.
There is also a restaurant with French- and Dutch-speaking staff.
At the reservoir: all kinds of recreational possibilities: canoe, kayak, pedalo, swimming, ...
The region is ideal for walking, cycling and motorcycling.
Castellane is the ideal starting point to make beautiful trips : Moustiers Sainte Marie, Aiguines, Riez, Colmars, Entrevaux, Mons, Gourdon, Saint Paul de Vence, Vence, Grasse, Col d'Allos, ...
Mediterranean resorts are within reach and definitely worth a visit (Cannes, Nice, Monaco, Antibes, ...).
