Bastide du Cavalon

Bastide du Cavalon, a beautiful holiday home in the heart of Provence, sleeps 10 people.
This 18th-century farmhouse (French "mas") has been restored to reflect its Provençal origins and has all modern conveniences. It has a heated swimming pool, a professionally landscaped garden, a well-equipped open-plan living room and five comfortable bedrooms. The terraces on three sides of the house let you enjoy the gardens and the views.

Room enough for everyone
The layout of Bastide du Cavalon lends itself perfectly to family holidays. There is plenty of open space where everyone can gather, and there are many smaller, cosy rooms if you need some peace and quiet. The ground floor is centred around a large, open-plan living, dining and kitchen area. The living room has large, comfortable sofas around a fireplace. The spacious kitchen has a central island and everything you need to prepare a delicious meal. The dining table is adjacent to the kitchen and can easily seat 10 people. The kitchen/dining room opens onto the terraces on both sides of the house.
At one end of the central area is a separate living room with TV and stereo system, as well as a closed fireplace. The TV has English satellite broadcasts, French digital TV and there is a DVD player, stereo system and an assortment of music and movies. On the other side of the central room and a few steps down, there is a library room with armchairs and a well-stocked bookcase, as well as local guides and maps. There is also a writing desk with a printer you can use. It's a great place to relax and read, or even get some work done if absolutely necessary!
The tiled floors and shutters keep it cool in summer, and there are electric fans in the house.

Comfortable sleeping
Upstairs, there are five spacious bedrooms, suitable for up to 10 people.
There are three bedrooms with double beds (160 cm), two of which are larger and have en suite bathrooms with showers and washbasins. The fourth and fifth bedrooms have two single beds, which can be joined to form a double bed. All five bedrooms open directly onto the landing.
In addition to the two en-suite shower rooms, there is another separate shower room with washbasin, as well as a separate bathroom with a bathtub with shower and a washbasin, both located on the upstairs landing. There are two toilets with sinks upstairs and one downstairs.
The rental includes linen for all beds. There are towels for each guest, both for the bathrooms and the pool, as well as bathrobes and hairdryers. There is plenty of storage space in all bedrooms. Cleaning is also included in the rent.

Relaxing outside
There is plenty to enjoy outside at Bastide du Cavalon, whether you want to relax or be active. The heated pool is located on the west side of the house with a private terrace and unobstructed views of the Vaucluse and Mont Ventoux. There is a variety of pool furniture - including deck chairs, sun loungers and parasols - and bath towels are provided. The pool is 5 × 10 metres and is available from approximately May to September. The pool is fenced and accessible through a gate.
Around the house are large paved terraces, so you can be outside all day. On the south side of the house, the terrace overlooks the gardens and the fountain, and to the north the terrace looks out onto the Luberon mountains. This terrace has a large shaded enclosure. There several seating areas to enjoy a delicious BBQ. The beautifully landscaped gardens are on the south side of the house and offer total privacy for guests. There are lush grass terraces, with borders and large shady trees, all with their own automated watering system. At the top of the garden is a 'secret' garden with a hammock among the trees - the ideal spot for a refreshing afternoon rest.

Below the main house, there is covered parking for three cars plus additional parking outside. There is also a laundry room with two washing machines and a tumble dryer, and there is an outdoor clothesline. There is also plenty of covered and secure space to store your own bikes or rental bikes.
