Green, hilly and wooded surroundings. Nice view from the fermette. Various places to sit in the shade or in the sun. Garden furniture, deck chairs and BBQ available. Because of its location on the large property with many trees, shrubs and pasture, the fermette offers a lot of privacy. The garden offers many opportunities to play (swing) for both children and dogs.
Our terrain is also becoming a food forest. Besides walnuts and chestnuts, "the garden" offers a lot of fruit.
From the farmhouse you can make nice walks and bike tours.
For those who are less mobile, nice routes can also be driven by car. Or maybe you prefer to visit a brocante, the plan d'eau where you can swim or the wine farmers of the Cote Roannaise. Of course there are -especially in summer- many festivities in the area. Furthermore, in the vicinity you will find small rivers and some waterfalls.
There is a riding school at about 5 km distance with Dutch accompaniment, where you can take lessons and/or make a guided ride outside.
The village of Arfeuilles is only 3 km from the fermette and has a pharmacy, a bakery (closed on Mondays, but open on Sundays), a supermarket with butcher and a bar/restaurant. There is also a terrace in summer.

Very close by is the Côte Roannaise. The famous wine region, where you can visit various caves and taste (and buy) wine. Cheese farm nearby and plenty of restaurants in the area.
Activities
Riding school with Dutch guidance approx. 5 km from the house, where you can go for very nice outdoor rides in addition to private lessons.
Many possibilities for hiking, swimming, cycling and shopping (Vichy). Super for geocachers.
In addition to an indoor swimming paradise and a beautiful park on the river Allier, Vichy has a lot more to offer. Apart from the fact that Vichy itself and very beautiful and interesting city. Approximately 45 minutes away is the park Le Pal; zoo and amusement park in one.

A very beautiful area that is suitable for those seeking peace and quiet as well as for culture lovers and sports enthusiasts.
It is also a perfect environment in spring and autumn. The mild climate ensures good weather from early spring until late autumn.
