The house
Cigale or "Cicada (or cricket)" is one of the 3 holiday homes of the mini holiday park Villa Tourasse. Cigale is perfectly suited for a family of 4, and offers an open kitchen with cosy dining area, and has 2 bedrooms: 1 with double bed (1.40 m) and the 2nd room with bunk beds (2 beds á 90 cm). And of course there is a bathroom with shower and toilet.
The gîte is equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, oven, coffee maker, kettle, iron and fridge with separate freezer. There is no need to bring bed linen as the beds are already freshly made for you!
You have a private covered terrace, garden furniture, and private access. Through the garden doors you walk on the terrace, which connects with the pool via a few steps.
In the evening you can BBQ in the adjacent garden. The stone BBQ is a spacious picnic table shaded by the green of the plane tree for delicious summer dining. You can also play "Jeu de Boules" or just enjoy the excellent local wine on your own terrace, for which the Ardeche is famous.
Cigale is surrounded by sun and peace; and, as my guests often remark, you and your children will very quickly find "that wonderful holiday feeling".

This holiday home Cigale is located just outside the village Grospierres, in the beautiful surroundings of the valley of the rivers Ardeche and Chassezac. Do you like sports activities and nature? Or do you prefer strolling in the medieval villages, going to the markets and tasting the local products? In the Ardeche, you will get your money's worth.
In the village itself there is a post office, multimedia centre, supermarket and a good restaurant. Every Sunday there is a cosy "brocante", or flea market.
Grocery shopping is easy in Ruoms, 6 to 7 km away. The famous city Vallon Pont d'Arc, the river Ardèche and the famous Gorges d'Ardèche: from 13 km.

Lieve Tony, wat koesteren wij deze plek toch! Het was de 3e keer dat we Villa Tourasse bezochten en weer was het dik genieten. Ook dochter Fréderique (15) en zoon Romeyn (13) verblijven hier ook zo graag. We gaan deze plek missen maar komen vast weer terug. Bedankt voor het kristal heldere water in je zwembad en de prachtige omgeving. ❤️

Onze vakantie begon bij het warme welkom tijdens ontvangst! De koelkast was gevuld met lekkers voor zowel ons als voor Peer (9) en Juup (7). We hebben genoten van dit heerlijke plekje!

Wat een heerlijke plek is dit! En wat hebben we genoten van ons verblijf in 'Cigale' én van de gastvrijheid van Tony, die zorgde voor een verkoelend drankje bij aankomst en die ons iedere ochtend voorzag van verse croissants en een baguette. De prachtige omgeving leent zich uitstekend voor het maken van uitstapjes langs of over de rivieren Chassezac en Ardéche (Vallon-Pont-d'Arc!). Gastheer Tony doet er alles aan jou een ontspannen vakantie te laten beleven in deze prachtige - door talloze druivenvelden omgeven - streek.

Restaurants, food & wine
There is a market almost every day of the week with fresh, local produce, even wine. There are several authentic wine growers to visit nearby - I will be happy to take you to their cellars to taste wines on the spot. In short, the warm sun, the lavender and wine fields, the delicious French food, the charming markets and the lovely villages are the ingredients for a carefree holiday.
Activities
The Ardèche has inexhaustible possibilities for excursions and activities such as:
- White water canoeing and kayaking through the Ardèche and Chassezac Gorges
- Survival in the adventure park in Grospierres (especially for children)
- Hiking (possible directly from this address)
- Golf (only 2km away)
- Boules (on a floodlit court in our garden)
- Caving
- Quad riding
- Hang-gliding
- Horseback riding (about 5km away)
- Swimming in rivers La Beaume, Chassezac and Ardeche, or of course here in the swimming pool
- Go-karting at 7 km
- Cycling: recreational, race and ATB,
- Visit caves, for example Caverne de Chauvet/ Grotte Madeleine.
- Crocodile farm
Brocante lovers can scour the many brocante markets and "Vide Greniers" looking for that one special gadget.
A day at the Mediterranean Sea (e.g. to the nature reserve of the Camarque) is very worthwhile.

Further remarks
Cigale is one of the three independent cottages of the small, intimate holiday park called "Villa Tourasse", located in a tastefully landscaped garden of over 3500 m2, a petanque court and spacious playing field. The cottages can be rented either separately or together, optimally for a family group of 6 adults and a maximum of 4 children.
