The house
De Papillon is a cosy holiday home and has a living room with a dining area and an open kitchen, a bedroom with a double bed of 1.40m, and a bathroom with shower, sink and toilet.
This holiday home called Papillon is most suitable for 2 adults, but if you have younger children who don't mind sleeping on a fold-out sofa bed, your family will be quite comfortable. Another possibility is to pitch a small tent just outside the door on the terrace. For the more adventurous children, this can be a fun experience. I have a tent available for this purpose. The climate in this part of the Ardeche is perfect for camping anyway, so sleeping outside might be just the thing for your child.
Papillon has a terrace, with both covered and open seating, a private driveway and parking.
The cottage is equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, iron and a fridge with separate freezer.
And of course you can use the washing machine that is available for common use.
There is no need to bring bed linen as the beds will soon be freshly made for you.
Papillon is one of the 3 flats of the small-scale holiday park called "Villa Tourasse", situated in a beautiful, sunny, quiet and attractive spot not far from the touristy Vallon Pont d'Arc.

Holiday home Papillon is located just outside the village of Grospierres, in the beautiful surroundings of the valley where the rivers Chassezac and Ardeche merge. Do you like sports activities and nature? Or do you prefer strolling through the medieval villages and the markets? You have come to the right place.
The climate here can be called Provencal. Sunny and warm.
Nearby is the village of Grospierres where you will find a post office, multimedia centre, supermarket, restaurant and every Sunday morning a flea market. The larger town Ruoms, only 7 km away, has an extensive shopping centre. The famous and more touristy town of Vallon Pont d'Arc, and the Gorges d'Ardèche are a little further away - about 13km. We willen u wel heel hartelijk bedanken voor de uiterst prettige wijze van communiceren en uw klantvriendelijkheid. We hebben al heel wat accommodaties bezocht, echter de wijze en correctheid waarmee u communiceert is helaas tegenwoordig uniek.

Een echte aanrader! Enorm genoten. Het is een heerlijke rustige plek, van alle gemakken voorzien en 's ochtends liggen je bestelde verse broodje klaar :-). Daarnaast is Tony enorm gastvrij en laat hij jou de mooiste plekken in de Ardèche zien.
Restaurants, food & wine
Every weekday there is a market in the area, for example on Tuesday in Largentière with a beautiful old medieval centre and castle, or on Wednesday in Joyeuse, a town already known from the 9th century.
Grospierres itself has an excellent restaurant; from a simple pizzeria to more upmarket eateries further afield.
Grospierres is located in a valley rich in vineyards and the various winegrowers offer a delicious wine tasting.
In short, the warm sun, the vineyards, the atmospheric markets and the picturesque villages have all the ingredients for an excellent holiday.
Activities
The Ardèche has a lot to offer in terms of activities. Possibilities for excursions and activities are:
- White water canoeing, kayaking and canyonning through the Gorges de l'Ardèche or Chassezac.
- Survival in the adventure park in Grospierres ( for children)
- Hiking, possible directly from your holiday address, or from other beautiful places in the Ardèche.
- Golf (only 2 km away)
- Boules (on our own floodlit court in our garden)
- Caving, within reasonable distance
- Quad riding
- Hang-gliding
- Horse riding (4 km from Grospierres)
- Swimming in rivers La Beaume, Chassezac, Ardeche, and of course our own swimming pool
- Wine tasting in one of the many wine cellars in the area such as Chazalis, Peyre Brun, Château de la Selve.
- Cycling: recreational, race and ATB, mountain biking. The Tour de France passes Vallon Pont d'Arc, near here.
- Abseiling in the Gorge d'Ardeche
- Caves, a.o. Grotte de Chauvet/ Grotte Madeleine
- Festivals and concerts
- Brocante lovers can browse the many brocante markets and "Vide Greniers" looking for that one special gadget.

Papillon is one of the three independent cottages of the small, intimate holiday park called "Villa Tourasse", situated in a tastefully landscaped garden of over 3500 m2, a jeu de boules court and spacious playing field. The cottages can be rented separately or together for e.g. family groups, optimally for 6 adults and a maximum of 4 children.
