The house
A luxury holiday home surrounded by nature, with breathtaking views and swimming pool.
The spacious gite ( 4 to 10 people) is located on the corner of the long-stretched farmhouse and has a private garden with stunning views of the Monts de la Madeleine. There are several sitting areas outside where you can enjoy the peace, the views and the beautiful nature.
The gite is available all year round.
In the high season (June to September), the gite can only be rented per week or multiples thereof (from Saturday - 4pm to Saturday - 10am).
Outside the high season, the gite can also be rented for a shorter period (minimum 2 nights).

The gite (up to 4 people) consists of:
Ground floor:
- a sitting area with wood-burning stove and TV/DVD/radio
- kitchen, fully equipped and also equipped with, among others, combi-oven-microwave, dishwasher, fridge and freezer.
- a toilet
First floor:
- a bathroom with washbasin, shower, and toilet
- 2 spacious double bedrooms, 1 with washbasin
The gite can also be extended to sleep up to 10 people with:

La Jacquotte is located in a rural setting, surrounded by the sounds and scents of nature in the beautiful mountain area of Les Monts de la Madeleine. La Jacquotte is situated in the Loire department (Rhône-Alpes) on the border with Allier (Auvergne). (± 900 km = ± 9 hours travel by car from NL, also reachable by plane, flying to Lyon or Clermont-Ferrand, or by train).
La Jacquotte is quiet and beautifully situated with a breathtaking view. On the terrain (of almost 5 ha) you will find, besides the house of the owner, a gite (holiday home), a camping à la ferme (6 places) and a swimming pool with a covered terrace with an outdoor kitchen.
On the grounds are many different (fruit) trees and plants. Also various wild animals can be seen with great regularity.
The area is inviting for beautiful (snow) walks. For the enthusiast there are many mapped out routes, also with starting point La Jacquotte. In the vicinity are many sporting opportunities such as horseback riding, tree and rock climbing, cycling (for those who like a steep climb), canoeing, golf, and in winter cross-country skiing and skiing.
In the vicinity are several beautiful authentic French villages that are definitely worth a visit.

Activities
La Jacquotte is located in the area of Les Monts de la Madeleine, a mountainous region on the border of the departments of Loire (Rhône Alpes) and Allier (Auvergne).
Les Monts de la Madeleine comprises several areas: Montagne Bourbonnaise, Pays Paceadiére, Côte Roannaise and Pays d'Urfé.
The mountain area is known for its beautiful unspoilt nature with many panoramic views. The peace and quiet that prevails in the area is also evident.
The area also lends itself to various activities. You can go for beautiful walks, visit authentic villages, browse brocantes, cycle, play golf, climb and ski and cross-country skiing in a winter with sufficient snow.
The climate is attractive to many. It is an area where the seasons are clearly noticeable. The mild spring, often with lovely temperatures already, with the beautiful blossoms and all the animals that come out and show themselves, the summer with higher temperatures, but still attractive because of the altitude at which La Jacquotte is located, and then the autumn that turns nature into the most beautiful autumn tones and the winter that can provide snow fun.
A romantic image that is usually true, but ... nature never lets itself be controlled, so also stormy days with cold and rain occur here!

Prices 2023 - 2024:
Gîte:
Low season (January to May and October to December)
Up to 4 persons € 550,- per week
Per additional person € 90,- per week
High season (June to September)
Up to 4 persons € 860,- per week
Per additional person € 135,- per week
The above prices do not include:
Mandatory cleaning costs and tourist tax
Security deposit:
When booking the gîte, a deposit of €350 is due. This deposit must be paid in advance and is therefore shown on the invoice. The deposit will be refunded at the end of the rental period, if no defects are found and the gîte is left clean.
Linen:
The above prices include linen package bedding (duvet cover, fitted sheet and pillowcase).
Other linen can be rented at La Jacquotte. Optional and payable in cash.

Camping:
Basic rate:
