Exclusively for our guests we have a large number of walks as GPX files for smartphone or walking GPS available (so never get lost). Price includes: wifi, bed linen, electricity, tourist tax and final cleaning.

Gite du Bois I is a cosy, comfortable gite, where it is good to stay the whole year through (also during winter sports!). Located on the edge of the authentic village Egliseneuve d'Entraigues in the Puy-de-Dome ( Auvergne ).

Ground floor: Kitchen, sitting area, dining area, 1st toilet & 1st terrace:
You enter the cottage through the kitchen which is equipped with all appliances and supplies. Through the kitchen you enter the cosy, spacious sitting and dining area with a comfortable 3-seater sofa, 2 armchairs, coffee table, stereo / CD player, DVD player, flat screen TV with satellite connection, modern wood-burning fireplace and a high dining table. Through the French doors you can reach the wooden terrace at the back side (south-east side) of the gite. Because of the location of this terrace, you can already enjoy the sun during breakfast. From the terrace you have a beautiful green, peaceful view and you can hear in the background the babbling of the river that flows under our terrain. The terrace is equipped with teak garden furniture. There is a toilet on the ground floor as well as in the upstairs bathroom.

First floor: 2 Bedrooms & Bathroom with 2nd toilet
The fixed, closed staircase leads to the first floor with a double bedroom with a comfortable double bed of 160x200 cm (2 separate mattresses and bases, box springs) and a built-in cupboard. A bathroom with shower, bath, washbasin, toilet and radiator and a (children's) room with bunk beds (both mattresses 90 x 200 cm) and storage space. Our beds all have good mattresses and 4 season duvets.

2nd Terrace, Garden & River
Besides the use of both terraces, you may use the entire garden (5000 m2). Guests of Maison van Stijn can reach the private river at the bottom of the property via a "natural" staircase.

All year round, including winter!
The gite is well insulated and well heated by means of fast-acting electric heating and a modern insert wood fire. Both summer and winter it is therefore very pleasant temperature in the gite. Firewood is available on site.

You can park your car on our private property, near the gite.

On holiday with the dog
Dogs are just as welcome as their owners. The gîte is situated in a fenced garden and has a private terrace. Of course, your dog is also allowed to use the private river on our property. Within walking distance of the cottage there are 2 waterfalls and a swimming lake for the dog. Your dog may (almost) run free everywhere. There are many beautiful walks to be made with sufficient shade and cooling. Exclusively for our guests we have a large number of walks as GPX files for smartphone or walking GPS available. There is also a walking booklet available in the cottage.
