The house
The detached house has been completely restored, with new frames and double-glazed windows and insulated walls and roofs.
The house is furnished with care, style and comfort.
The living room has a beautiful fireplace, a sofa and 2 luxury armchairs and a large dining table (8 people). There is also a spacious toilet with washbasin.
The open kitchen has a 5-burner gas cooker and oven with grill, a dishwasher, an American fridge. Plenty of cupboard space and a fair amount of storage. There is also a wide-screen TV and a DVD player. French TV channels are received via a satellite dish. The house also has Wifi (Livebox from Orange).
An open staircase leads down into the spacious hall. From there you have access to 3 large bedrooms and a luxury bathroom with shower, bath, washbasin and toilet.
The holiday home is suitable for people who like peace and quiet, who like walking and who love nature. The holiday home is less suitable for young children.

Your holiday home is a so called fermette, a small farm in the style of the region and is located just outside the village of Saint Sauves, in the hamlet Chez Chabozy.
The garden comprises an area of 1,440 m² on which there are two large barns, where you will find bicycles and a stock of logs for the fireplace, among other things. There is also a table tennis table.
The village of Saint Sauves is a 3-minute drive away and has a butcher and a small supermarket. In the summer there is a market on Sunday morning.
From the house you can walk and cycle and there is a lake only 15 minutes away.
In La Bourboule (10 minutes drive) is a new swimming pool (indoor and outdoor).

Restaurants, food & wine
Both in La Bourboule and in Le Mont-Dore there are several places to eat. But also in the immediate vicinity of the gite you can eat, as in Saint Sauves at hotel de la Poste or le Lutéa (3 km from our house) and in Murat le Quaire at La CaBanne.
Activities
Just 12 minutes by car from the gite is the Massif du Sancy, where you can ski, cross-country ski, etc. in the winter season. In the other seasons it is a true hiking paradise with beautiful flora: a well-signposted walking network takes you from one peak to the other valley, via mountain lakes and waterfalls.
5 km away is the old thermal spa of La Bourboule. About 3 km away is Le Mont-Dore, where you can also take the cable car in summer to climb the Puy de Sancy (1,789 m).
At the top of Mont-Dore, one of the lifts connects to Super Besse, the southern side of the mountain massif. There are also several ski lifts on this side of the mountain.
For summer, there is a lake and a fishing lake about 2 km from our house and three other large lakes in the vicinity.
In Le Mont Dore there is also a golf course and a climbing park and even a Via Ferrata (Mont Dore Aventures). The old park of La Bourboule has beautiful trees, ponds and hiking trails. There is also a midget golf course.

Further remarks
Saint Sauves is about 12 minutes' drive from the A89 motorway. From the Netherlands via Paris towards Clermont Ferrand so very easy to reach. The distance from Utrecht is about 900 km.
Renting our house is possible all year round, see availability dates. In principle, rental runs from Saturday to Saturday.
You need to bring your own linen package (kitchen and bed linen).
Prices are all-in, i.e. including gas, water and light.
The deposit is € 150.
Pets are unfortunately not welcome.
A comprehensive information leaflet of the house is provided with the rental, which includes instructions for using the house.
No final cleaning is currently arranged. Final cleaning must be provided by yourself.

Chez Chabozy is een mooie, stijlvolle vakantiewoning! Heerlijk koel bij zonnig weer en van alle gemakken voorzien. Een prima plek om deze kant van de Auvergne te bezoeken!
Voordelen: dicht bij de snelweg, ruime woning mét ontzettend veel mogelijkheden in de regio. Nadelen (misschien?): geen Wifi en mobiel netwerk, zelf zorgen voor eindschoonmaak
