The house
The Rez de Jardin is the ground floor of Chateau de Bézyl, has its own entrance on the west side and north side of the chateau, and has 6 bedrooms, 4 of which have double four-poster beds and private bathroom with shower, toilet, washbasin : Chevreuil, Ecureuil, Hibou and Renard. Bécassine has two single beds, bathroom with shower, toilet, washbasin. The bedroom : Lapin, has two single beds, and a private bathroom with shower and washbasin. The bedroom: Hibou, is adapted for use by disabled people, here is a double bed, and a spacious bathroom with shower, toilet and washbasin, and entrance and exit from terrace and to the lounge, kitchen.
Chevreuil, Ecureuil and Hibou and Lapin have entrance and exit from the terrace and from the lounge.
A cot and high chair, dog basket available on request free of charge.
There is a spacious sitting room, with TV,DVD,CD player and a pool billiard. The bedroom Lapin, could serve as a children's/playroom.
There is an extra toilet in the central hall.
The dining/kitchen has a large size gas cooker with oven, micro-wave, fridge, dishwasher, coffee machine.
The kitchen and 4 bedrooms have exit to the spacious terrace.
Our castle laundry room with a washing machine, tumble dryer and ironing board, can be used.
The spacious terrace has garden tables with chairs, parasol
Smoking is not allowed inside, but there is a smoking corner on the terrace.

The Rez de Jardin is in the middle of the private 96-hectare estate of forest and field. Around the Rez de Jardin is a garden. All rooms have views of garden and landscape. The terrace gives views of the natural beauty; deer and squirrels, birds and insects, bats and butterflies.
The swimming pool is heated from mid-May to the end of September.
On the estate, it is lovely to walk along the many large and small paths. There is a lake, deciduous and pine forests, prairies with wild flowers, The estate is maintained by nature conservation.
For birdwatchers, entemologists, mushroom pickers, nature lovers in general, there is much to see. Above all, there is peace and quiet.

In the town of Redon there are several good restaurants, also in Pipriac, and La Gacilly.
There are good fish restaurants, creperies, lunch restaurants. We keep a file of these too with choices for our guests.
Yep, there is also a very good pizzeria.
There are a range of good to very good caterers. Plenty of choice of well-stocked supermarkets and smaller shops, including the organic supermarket Le Heron Bleu.
Beyond that, there is bound to be the occasional head of lettuce or beans left over from our potager.
A culinary week or weekend among friends or family?
On the site itself, it is good to spend time with mushrooms. From the second week of September until the end of October there are many species including squirrel bread, large umbrella mushroom and meadow mushrooms. Sweet chestnuts are up for grabs from October until the new year.

Activities
The immediate surroundings are great for cycling/mountain biking and hiking. On-site are many hiking trails, ideal for nature lovers with dogs.
There is a swimming pool on site (heated from May to mid/late September), table tennis, a running or walking track.
Nearby is St Just with its prehistoric megaliths and museum.
There are photogenic villages in the area, including the village of La Gacilly, known also for Yves Rocher, with its artisans and artists, and annual photo exhibition. The museum village of Rochefort en Terre, La Roche Bernard, etc. A very nice automobile museum in Loheac.
For antique lovers, there are vide de greniers, and brocantes to visit.
Not to mention the local markets.
Nearby, you can rent canoes and have a great time on the river Vilaine, the Aff or the Oust. Horse riding, donkey, pony trekking. Rock climbing, adventure park etc.
The Brittany coast has beautiful beaches and bays. Some ideal for kite surfing. The nearest beach is about 45 minutes away. The luxury seaside resort of La Baule can be reached within an hour. A file of activities has its permanent place in the gite.

Heerlijke week in Gite la Rosa gehad, met onze 3 kinderen en onze hond. Het is een ruim huis, met een heerlijke tuin die je kunt afsluiten (handig voor de hond). Een prachtig terrein er omheen waar we uren met de hond konden wandelen en waar we regelmatig herten zagen. Het kasteel bevat bovendien een kleine bioscoop. Het zwembad was begin mei helaas nog niet open, maar de kinderen konden lekker voetballen e.d. op het grote grasveld voor de gite. Kortom, heerlijke week gehad!

Wij hebben niet in de gite verbleven, maar in een kamer in het souterrain van het chateau zelf. De perfecte vakantie! Rust, rust, rust in een prachtige omgeving.
