The house
The gite la Brande is situated in an idyllic spot, hidden between woods and fields on a country road. The layout of the gite: a large kitchen equipped with all comforts (microwave, toaster, coffee machine, dishwasher, kettle etc.) Next to the kitchen there is a large sitting room with fireplace and doors opening onto the terrace behind the house where you will find a large lawn. A wide corridor leads to the back, there is a separate toilet, spacious bathroom with toilet, shower, sink and washing machine. Furthermore, there are three spacious bedrooms, with single beds of 90 and 80 cm by 2 meter. There is a barbecue and garden furniture. On request there is a high chair and cot available.

The surroundings are slightly hilly, with many trees, hedges and fields. Nearby, many beautiful gardens like the monastery garden of Orsan and the artistic garden of Drulon. In Nohant the house of George Sand, the castle route of Jaques Coeur, the castle of Culan etc.
At 15 km distance is the lake of Sidialles for water sports like swimming, canoe and sailing, there is also a beach. The area is very suitable for walking and cycling. There are many hiking trails in the area.
At 9 km distance is the wine village Chateaumeillant. In the surroundings, many goat's cheese is made on the farms.
There are several golf possibilities in the area as le golf des Dryades (27 holes) , le golf de Nassigny.

There are many small genuine French restaurants in the area, including one star restaurant in Chateaumeillant. At 9 km lies the wine village Chateaumeillant where you can taste the delicious wine.

The surroundings are perfect for walking and cycling, there are several routes. You can surf, canoe, swim and sail on the lake of Sidialles (approx. 15 km). There is also a beach here.
There are several golf courses in the area, including golf de Nassigny and le Golf des Dryades.
