La Brossarderie, a remote hamlet of three farms, located in the Loire Valley 17 km west of Sancerre (famous for its wines) we have a charming detached farmhouse for rent, an oasis of peace and quiet.
The house is situated between the wine regions of Sancerre and Menetou Salon.
Nearby is La Borne, around this village live and work about 65 ceramists with galleries at home. La Borne is the French Mecca of ceramics. Chavignol, known for its goat's cheese, is also nearby. The Jacques Coeur castle route crosses this area, allowing you to visit castles and abbeys.
There is a bakery in La Borne and the nearest place for groceries is in Henrichemont, a town with a large supermarket, all kinds of shops, cafes and post office, and there is a market on Wednesday mornings around the fountain in the central square. Sancerre is 17 km west of the house.
Bourges, famous for its Gothic cathedral, is 40 km away; there is also a market here every Saturday.

The house has central heating and a wood-burning stove in the living room. The price includes normal consumption of firewood, water, fuel oil, gas and electricity. The tenant must bring his own bed linen, towels and drying cloths. The cleaning costs are € 40. The tenant must pay a deposit of € 150. This deposit will be refunded after deduction of any charges.
